View Full Version : Pic Post! Introduce you and your SRT
LilSparkPlug 10-14-2005, 03:12 AM Okay guys. Here goes. Give us your first name, so we dont have to keep calling you "wordslayer" or "posthonda" or "glhs" or "RIPSY" or what have you. Then post a pic of you and a pic of your car. And let us know what mods you have. Keep it clean, and no derogatory remarks. This will be stickied so if we want to see you....WE WILL FIND YOU! And dont be shy, we aren't here to insult one another, just to put a face to a name, and a car to a screen name.
Ill start:
My real names Crystalmarie, but the reason for the screen name is because my best friend gave me that nickname since Im a total spazz in real life (well the boards kinda gave that away too). And what do I do? I work at Detroit Collision center in Rhode Island.

LilSparkPlug 10-14-2005, 03:51 AM How did I know that one was gonna happen! Yes tard Im on the left, my little brother on the right, and some random fat atkins lady on the far right. Oh dear dear me.

Pressurecooker 10-14-2005, 05:27 AM Okay, My real name is Matthew or Matt.
I am currently working at Great Lakes International Trucks as a diesel mechanic in Kalamazoo Mi.
I am actually an aircraft mechanic and do not normally claim to be a truck mechanic. It's just what I do for now.
My screen name is self explanatory. I wanted to capture the essence of the car. I think I did.
My car is;
2004 Black SRT-4 code named "CHI CHI" by my kids.
Mods are;
225-55-16 Fuzion ZRI's on 16x7 Proline style 950 rims
Black vinyl eyelids style #2 from Ruthless Graphics (angry eyes)
Aircraft stainless steel mesh grill insert from Carbon by Design
Redneck OCC from Tractor Supply Company
The pic is me, with my car, in my driveway, before any mods were done.
Update to info; I now work at FreightLiner of Kalamazoo, (a DCX component) wooohooo! Just another inch closer to my mecca! :D
Update to the update; Freightliner is old news, in one week 04-15-06, I start my new job as Maint Supervisor at DMS electric apparatus Co. With the new job comes much more mullah and so will follow the inevitable mods. Chi Chi will be much, much faster this year.;) Almost 7 dollars an hour pay raise in the span of 6 months. Still 4 dollars an hour short of what I made as a maint supervisor for a major airline 5 years ago, but, that was Nevada and this is Michigan now. Hell yeah, I'll take it! Even if it's not airplanes! Goodbye trucks! I'm stoked!

posthondaremoval 10-14-2005, 03:26 PM My name is Adam and I work in commercial real estate at a small firm with 2 partners in Philadelphia. We do everything, from development, to property management, to Opportunity fund investment...the list goes on. It's kind of nice since I have such a diversity of things to do, but time is at a premium, now, and it does cut into tuning and track time. I have a lot of interests and passions(too many, really), and cars is at the top of the list. I have been a musician and an artist. I was a bike mechanic for years and ended up managing a number of franchises for a while. I would honestly rather be wrenching on cars, most of the time, but I guess I can't really bitch. I've done a little of everything and this ain't so bad.
You've all seen it 1250 times or so, but here is a pic of me at the glen. I'll post better ones later when I am at my home PC.

LilSparkPlug 10-15-2005, 02:51 AM What kinda wheels are on the beast? You guys have some pretty cool ass jobs. Nothing really conventional and thats awesome, we're pretty damn diverse here. At least now its easier to place people and their cars with their sns.
And Mike thats a CRAZY setup youve got on Latrodectus. I think thats the only car Ive seen without the crosshairs that looks sick.
PostHonda (since I still dont know your name LOL), I never even realized that you were sitting in the car in that picture!!! LMFAO. Oop. Im retarded. Yeah well we all knew that one already.
wozman78 10-15-2005, 03:00 AM they are maxxim,i think they are the same as konig,or a sub company or whatever.that pic of me was in kuwait a few months ago.i was working there as a truck mech. for all those civilian trucks you see burning on the side of the road in iraq.poor guys!
Pressurecooker 10-15-2005, 03:25 AM Hey how do you guys get those great big pics to upload when there's a 500KB limit?
I couldn't even upload that little pic of mine, until I resized it as small as I could. Never mind adding more than one pic.
What's the trick?
I know a lot of it has to do with the resolution setting at which the picture was taken with.
Also, can you add another pic to a previous post by editing?
Here's Chi Chi now;

Pressurecooker 10-16-2005, 06:36 AM So I count 3 of us so far that work(ed) in aviation. Cool! Hope to be back on aircraft soon myself. I learned it in the Air Force too. '84 to '92 I worked on F-15's and F-117's. I was stationed at Eglin and Nellis (TTR) and did 8.5 months in Saudi during Desert Storm. The F-15 is still my favorite airplane. I was a 431x1 that was rivet force combined to become a 45274. That's a Crewchief, or it used to be. I was in the 33rd TFW, 59th AMU (which has been decomissioned) at Eglin and the 4450th which became the 37th TFW at Tonopah (now at Holloman). When I got out, I didn't have my A+P, so I worked in construction and at a motorcycle shop when I decided I really wanted to work on airplanes again, so I went and got my A+P license and eventually got a job as an A+P line mechanic at a small airline (Scenic) worked there for a while, took a better job at Allied Signal as Q.A. then got an even better job at America West Airlines. Worked up to Maint. Supervisor there before I/we decided to move back to Michigan. Did eventually get a job here in Kalamazoo as Station supervisor for an aircraft contract maint. co. based out of N. Carolina. Worked on Comair CRJ's doing overnight checks and on call for whomever when after 3 years, Comair decides not to fly here anymore. In the famous words of Homer Simpson, "DOHHH!" Since we really like it here, I decided to suck it up and not follow the job, so now I work on deisels at an IH dealership. It's good honest work, but it don't pay so good and I'd really rather be working on airplanes. Problem with that is, no airlines have maint. here or Battle creek or Grand Rapids. That leaves few choices and the small hangers don't generally pay so well and are very low turnover. Hmmmm.....what to do? Well, if I stay at the truck place long enough, I'll end up running the place. No doubt in my mind. They love me there because I ain't afraid of all the new technologies. (a lot of these guys work on trucks cause they aren't so good with computers if ya know what I mean) Not to toot my own horn, but I've never been to a truck school one, and 6 mos on the job and I am showing my leadman how I diagnosed an ABS problem with the company laptop. He has no clue. To add insult to injury, we've been on a pay freeze for the entire year I have been here. It's a fargin crime what these guys are getting paid here anyway. The rate of turnover is high, so if I stay long enough, I just may be able to write my own ticket. Hope is on the horizon either way, One company called Duncan aviation is expanding thier Battle Creek facility and that is supposed to add about 300 new maint. positions, and another company is building a small hanger at the Kalamazoo airport, and I happen to know that company does employ their own mechanics. Good news for Michigan these days, let me tell ya!
Probably a little too much info, but I do feel better now.
Thanks!
:-D
Yeah it sounded like a good vent man. and maybe i should send a c-5 up there for you guys... one will keep your whole crew bussy for a few weeks at least. I know a lot of those places you brought up but sadly ive never been to any of them. hope things work out up there man.
PSI Chick 10-17-2005, 05:06 AM i'm amy, i live in westchester county, ny. i do a lot of things for a living. let's see....i'm working on my Ph.D. in developmental psychology (i'm abd at the moment, writting my proposal). i go to yeshiva university at the albert einstein college of medicine in the bronx. i also do research at einstein in the epidemiology and population health department. i teach psychology at both IONA college and at westchester community college. i also (getting a little rediculous, right?) do payroll for a company in manhattan. when i'm not doing any of those other jobs, i also have a dog walking job in the morning and night. i keep myself pretty busy as you can see.
when i'm not working, you can usually find me at one of the tracks around here breaking my car. it's a favorite pastime of mine and a running joke. i have yet to make a trip to the track this season where i drove out with everything in working order. in fact, one time i didn't even get to drive out at all....

LilSparkPlug 10-20-2005, 03:01 AM Yup thats me with the nose ring LMAO. Which I unfortunately dont have anymore. I was underneath my car putting in Stage 1, and I turned my head to the left because some dirt fell into my eye and in the process slammed my nose on the apron of the engine bay, pulling the ring out partially. It got irritated, and I got pissed off so I took it out. :( Its alright, Ill get it done again....give it time. :D Its already been done twice already. Im gonna go for number 3 lmao.

wozman78 10-21-2005, 04:43 PM LOL i think i will have to 2nd that! :D
got boost? 10-22-2005, 11:20 PM OK OK I finally got some pics to post!!! (hopefully they are good quality). Let me formally introduce myself. My name is Andrew DeMong, I live in Upstate NY, Syracuse to be exact. I currently work for the United States Attorney's Office here in Syracuse as a criminal investigator. I've loved cars for the longest time but only recently have I really got into modding them..yes I'm an up and coming gear head [8D]
Now my car... Her name (yes it is a she) is Natalee, don't ask me why is just seemed to fit... and plus my neighbors helped in the naming lol. She is bone stock for now but in the future I plan on putting in a Stage 2 or 3, AEM CAI, exhaust, etc, etc. The only mod's I have in her now is an upgraded stereo. I have dual 12" Kicker CVR subs in a ported box, Plant Audio AMP.. 1250 WATTs, and a Premier (Pioneer) Head unit. All together it equals out to be 1500 WATTs so it bumps pretty well :D
now the pics:
Silverrt4 11-01-2005, 01:28 PM Ok my name is Erik, I really haven't been very active on this forum. I usually just come on here to get great advise from the "SRT experts" b/c you know as well as I do that an SRT-4 Owner knows more about there car than the dealer. I have owned my SRT for over 1 year now I got it in August of 2004, and currently have 15,400 miles on my car. It's a 2004 Silver Srt-4 as you can tell by my forum name. I live in Schenectady, NY which is about 15 mins from Albany.
I went to school for Manufacturing and ended up being a CNC machinist for about 3.5 years. After the company I was working for got into trouble with GE they went out of business, so now I am with an Architecture firm. I have been a CAD technician for about a year and 4 months now, it's pretty damn fun. Here are examples of the jobs we have done if you know the Albany area ( Albany international Airport, Renselaer Rail station ) Currently I am working on all the Empire state plaza Building.
I am a member of a local car club, it's called Reflections Of Speed. We have a full-blown forum www.rspeed.org (http://www.rspeed.org). Registration for the forum use is free obviously. 71RoadRunner 12-05-2005, 02:30 PM For those that don't already know, I'm Mitch and I manager a gas station (it's actually more of a diesel station since it's primary business is big diesel trucks such as dump trucks, semi's, loaders, bobcats, equipment, etc.) on the second shift. I have been and always will be Mopar or no car with few exceptions having my '71 Roadrunner as my first ever car followed by an '88 Daytona Shelby Z 2.2L Turbo II, '87 Daytona Shelby Z 2.2L Turbo II, '99 Neon R/T Coupe 5-spd. and my '04 SRT-4. I live in Columbus Ohio and have recently moved into another house with a 2 car heated garage:D which I cannot wait to make use of.
My '04 SRT-4 is black with the standard Viper seats and a sunroof. My SRT-4 has the following mods:
Performance:
Mopar Performance BOV
MSD Super Conductor Plug Wires
MSD Ignition Coil
K & N Typhoon CAI
2 OCC's
Mopar Performance Short Throw Shifter w/ Booger Bushings
Mopar Performance/Borla Cat-Back Exhaust
Vibrant Front Strut Tower Brace
DC Sport CS-2 Rear Strut Tower Brace
Prothane Race Motor Mount Inserts
Mopar Performance Stage 1
ATP Pressure Pipe (I still need to put this in though)
Other (I still need to install the pillar which has all the gauges and wiring all ready to be installed):
Triple Pillar Pod
Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultra Lite Oil Pressure Gauge
Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultra Lite Voltage Gauge
Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultra Lite Exhaust Gas Temperature Gauge
Audio:
Alpine CDA-7863 Head Unit
Alpine SPS-080A 3-1/2" Dash Speakers
Alpine SPS-170A 6-1/2" Door Speakers
Alpine SPS-690A 6"X 9" Rear Speakers
My screen name is obvious as to why I chose it, my '71 Roadrunner is my first car and will be with me until my demise.
I have pics of my SRT-4 and it's mods, but none of myself so here are a few of what I do have:

WhtLightning 12-16-2005, 03:00 AM Hello, my name is Scott and I'm..... an SRT-4 owner. (In a monotone unisun from the group "Hi Scott"). Then a reassuring word from LSP "It's OK, we're all SRT-4 owners here, just tell us your story. No one will judge you".
Well, it all started innocently enough, or so I thought. I saw a poster for the new Dodge Charger. "Gee, it sure would be nice to own one of those", I thought to myself. Later that week I went on the Dodge website, just to look around. I figured no harm in looking, right? That's when I saw it, "SRT-4". It's unassuming little 'chick car' looks. Hmmm says I, SRT? What's that? <click> WOW, nice video. Viper SRT-10?, that's hardcore (and way too expensive). Charger SRT-8?, not out yet. Hmm, there it is again, SRT-4. That was my first 'binge'. I spent hours perusing the specs, then onto some general web searches. Within a day or two, I found my mind wandering back to my little browse through the SRT page. The next thing I knew, I was back on the site! I'm not even sure how I got there, but now I found myself reading every bit of info I could all over again. My little problem started to interfere with my work, so I took a few days off. That's when things got worse....
Before I knew it I was at a Dodge dealership. I was on a mission, and nothing could stop me now. "May I help you", it was a salesman. Could I just tell him why I was there? "I've been thinking about the new Charger R/T" I said. (yeah, just a little social driving, nothing wrong with that). As he lead me toward the Chargers, there it was, a little white SRT-4! "What's this one", I asked (as if I didn't know). "That's the SRT-4, it's an '05 though, last year for them". (LAST YEAR for them!!! I was trying desperately to hide my panic. Stay calm now) "Would it be OK to test drive that too?" I asked, tension in my voice. "Just to have something to compare to". (Good save, don't act desperate). "Sure" he said, "but that's the last one we have, so I hope you like the color". (white, doesn't attract too much attention, I thought. It's not like I searched the inventory of every Dodge dealer in southern MA and you were the only one that had it in white, or anything like that). "White's not bad", I said.
The next day I was driving it home. "Gas?, I just got gas this morning. Damn, time for an oil change too" My driving was spiraling out of control. The only thing that got me back to work was the 50 min. ride in.... and knowing I'd get the 50 min. ride back home. Maybe there'll be traffic!
Something had to be done. I knew I had two choices; 1) Check myself in to the 'Betty Dodge' clinic. or 2) Find a group of people with the same problem I have.
Since the 12 steps here sounded more palatable (Step 1: Borla exhaust. Step 2: BOV. Step 3: Shorty intake. etc.), I decided to give this a try. It feels better to get it off my chest, and I will keep coming back for support. Thank you all for the coffee.
And now for the pics;

LilSparkPlug 12-16-2005, 03:40 AM And you bought your car at Motor Mart Dodge didn't you? They had a little white one there, the only one they had, next to all of the Chargers. And you said southern, MA....so Im betting on that. That dealership is like...6 minutes from my house *duck and cover DUCK AND COVER*
Your post reminds me of wordslayer. AHA THERES TWO OF YOU! Damn you white SRT owners and your sarcastic little cult!!! :D Tee hee just kidding!!!
Welcome ;) to you and your little snowball of boost.
WhtLightning 12-16-2005, 02:16 PM And you bought your car at Motor Mart Dodge didn't you? They had a little white one there, the only one they had, next to all of the Chargers. And you said southern, MA....so Im betting on that.
Pay up gorgeous! <kidding> ;)
Actually, They sold that one 2 days before I got down there. It would have been handy to buy from them b/c they're like 10 min from where I live. (small world)
I ended up getting it from Weber Dodge in Hingham instead. The only other white ones locally were 2 at one of the Herb Chambers'. They were anniversary editions with the blue "fang" stripes. Since I wanted white to avoid attracting attention, I took a pass, as nice as they were. I work in Boston so Hingham wasn't too far out of the way. They were great to deal with for the most part ($750 under sticker + $1k bonus cash). There was a little F-up on the Lojack though. I paid for the recovery plus alarm ($995ish) but only got the recovery. They said it was b/c the car already comes with theft deterent, but I had to call them on it when I saw the Lojack paperwork. They were great when I caught it though, gave me the option of the money back or the advanced warning (which I think is about $50 more than the alarm). I'm taking them up on the A/W (like I said, I work in Boston). Time will tell how good their service is. I supposedly get free oil changes for the life of the car, but sounds too good to be true. I did the first one myself @ 1k mi b/c I thought it was only fair considering it's not a scheduled change, but I'll try them for the next one. The Mobil 1 thing might create a problem for them ($$$). I'm going to call the service dept to find out (salesman said it was n/p, but I want to dbl check with service b4 I count my chicks).
As for the word-like posts, Thank you for the compliment. I don't consider my rants to be in the same league as his posts, but the comparison was quite flattering <--blushing-->
I've greatly enjoyed his more than entertaining posts. His "dream" one was hysterical! As I mentioned in a prev post, I started frequenting this forum a few mos b4 I bought, so I became fairly familiar with the great bunch of guys/girls b4 I joined.
And thx for the Welcome, My little snowball and I will enjoy it here. Speaking of snowball, I've been sqeeking by on the stock (don't even try driving in the snow) tires. I've been doing OK so far, as I have lived in these parts my whole life (I'm not old, but I have been young for a fairly long time), I'm no stranger to bad weather. I do have to save up soon for the Tire rack snows/steelies deal though.

LilSparkPlug 12-18-2005, 05:11 AM I had steelies on my little guy, but I traded them with my friend for his 18s with my snow tires of last winter since his car is sitting at NEIT practically permanently until he gets his license back.....in 2009. **** SON! :D
Yeah MM is 10 min from me too, we'll have to meet up one time so I can see little Snowballie himself in person.
Yeah the salesman said it was no problem. It was of course not a problem for him to throw in a little sales "kick" to get you to buy the car, though he didn't know that the snowball was the object of your desire.
If I worked in Boston my ass would buy LoJack too, but Im poor, and LoJack doesnt take food stamps. I kid I kid!!! Well I am poor, but I kid about food stampage. Not today. :)
Anyways since Im bored heres some updated pix of my car. Well one of the winter ensemble. Ill have to take pix of the new winter ensemble tomorrow....since its somewhat sunny, and I can finally give him a MUCH needed and deserved bath.

Lzealot 12-22-2005, 05:15 PM Hi all,
My name is Dan and I'm a proud new owner of a Black '05 Dodge SRT-4 ACR. Before I went to pick it up I was surfing this forums for information on the car. It definately sounds like a love/hate relationship with all the quirks, but I couldn't help myself. I was looking for something to replace the Hyundai Elantra I use to drive back and forth to work, yet be a bit more lively. I found that with this car. Originally, I was planning to leave it all stock and just have fun, but I've found like most of you once you have been infected by the srt virus there's just no hope. I'm already looking to start modding. Hopefully, I can hold off until I'm up to 3-5k on the motor before starting to go insane. Of course, nothing stops me from upgrading the suspension then eh? hmm.........must....wait....till...after christmas. Oh well, I hope to have some pictures up soon. :D

They dont come stock with Stage 1, they come stock with Stage 1 injectors. You need to buy the upgraded PCM in order to have "stage 1" itself. Its around 350/400 bucks.
dustyloins 12-30-2005, 02:34 AM You can get a Stage 1 from MP for $334.99 plus $10.00 S/H, or you can check with our sponsors here and see if they can beat the price....

srt4_kid 12-30-2005, 08:02 AM Hi my name is Nathan, Nate for short, I am new to the forum but I have been reading from here for a while. I find it the best place to look for stuff on my car. I bought my car in August of 2004 and I have only enjoyed it for a few months before I was shipped off to Kuwait/Iraq for my second tour. I will be home (Augusta,GA) in a few weeks and can't wait to see my family and get my car back:). I have not put any mods on it yet but I do have a little saved up for it. For the last year my dad has been enjoying my car and telling me how fun it is and how many people try to test it. He tells me so far he has not lost a race yet. Mostly little civics, other Neons, a few mustangs and stuff like that. People in his town have not seen the srt-4 before a year ago when I brought mine to his little country town. They just think it is a Neon with a wing. I will try to post pics. The ones I have are to big. I can only fit one. It is a pic of my son and my car. Hope it works.

Jims04srt 12-31-2005, 01:28 AM Hi all. First time to the forum. I bought my 04 SRT in Aug 05 after I hit a deer in my 88 Fiero...long story. Anyway, I'm in the Air Force stationed in Shreveport testing cruise missiles launched from B-52s. No real mods yet but I am looking around. If anyone can shoot me some things that have worked it would be greatly appreciated. This summer I will be racing against my dad's 72 'runner packing around 350-400 horses at the fly and I don't want to be humiliated. Tell me what you think!! Oh yeah, my name is James.

WhtLightning 12-31-2005, 03:36 AM I'll second that. Welcome, and thanks for helping to keep us all safe.
Nate, the pick looks great. Just tell your dad to fill the tank before you come. Lol
James, The Cuda striping is sweet. With stage 1, you won't be humiliated. 350 ~ 400 horses sounds like the 383 in that RRunner. Now if it were a 440 sixpack, he'd probably take you pretty good, but even then not humiliating. Just keep your chin up and your right foot on the floor.

PCAR310 01-07-2006, 03:49 AM Hey everyone Update took the srt-4 to the track tonite and Dodge was not lying about the srt-4 (stock)pulling 14.2 in the quarter. First time ever with my srt-4. Ran 14.2 and 14.3(x2),14.5 on the last run lost traction.
71RoadRunner 01-08-2006, 05:46 AM And to think, with a little cool down and practice and it will run high 13's stock.;)
JonnyBlaze 01-08-2006, 06:18 PM My name is Jonathan every1 calls me Jonny or Blaze or a combo of the two. i own a 2004 Flame Red SRT-4 named Demonica (thanks to crystal) with a little under 13k miles. very little mods (Mopar BOV) cause im still under warranty but many are planned for the future such as mopar 3d taillights, a fully adjustable lowered suspention, custom sound, WGA upgrade, Exhaust upgrade, PCM upgrade, injector upgrade, Fuel Controller....ect. new to the forums, dont get much computer time since my laptop broke. i go to school for automotive collision repair and work as a prepper/painter at brilliance autobody in canton MA.

CT_SRT 01-09-2006, 06:21 AM Lilsparkplug...very cute pic...someone help me out with this digital camera thing, how do i post up pics i know my pops has a digital camera but how do i get it online and eveything im new to this ****..thanks..
highline95jl 01-09-2006, 06:59 PM I know this is really off topic and I dont drive an SRT-4 but I will definantly admit that unless the GT is a manual, a Mustang cant keep up with an SRT-4, thank god I have a manual, all badass cars btw.
JonnyBlaze 01-10-2006, 02:25 AM yeah our friend crystal and i have doesnt tend to listen, yet he still can be found on the road here and there, only in an old subaru, so he doesnt have to worry about getting any speeding tix. and highline, it doesnt matter id its a stick or automatic (PLUS automatics are faster no clutch lag). a 04 SRT-4 stock can beat a handfull of mustangs, mustang gt's, and even the old school ones. i myself am a mustang owner and stopped building it to buy the SRT because its a better car and investment
highline95jl 01-10-2006, 05:11 PM Ive raced other GTs and ive definantly beaten the automatics many a time. I really do like the SRT-4 they are a bad ass car, but ive grown up around mustangs, there are a total of 7 in my family, 3 of them being my pop's. I do hear the SRT-4 is a better investment, but Im working on my Neon to be up to par with the SRT-4 in sleeper form. You all have really nice cars however, I definantly would not be ashamed to drive any of them.

fhblake04 01-18-2006, 08:52 AM Hey guys and gals! Don't have any pictures of my car uploaded onto my cpu yet, I just bought her a few weeks ago. White if you were wondering. I have been checking out the forums and decided to make this one my home for any questions I might have. This SRT is a blast to drive, never thought I'd have a Neon based car but when I stepped into one, I fell in love. I've always been an import guy, mostly Nissans. My last car was a 98 240sx, had plans on swapping a SR20 but decided to get a new car instead. Will post some pics asap.

It's a 340, but with a new cam and pistons, bored 030 over, j heads, and msd ignition coil. It looks completly stock though. I forget what else he has done. I will be looking forward to racing my little brother in his 72 Scamp with a 318 and auto. He thinks he will run low 14s. I will try to get pictures and post them.
BTW, thanks for all the support. We can never get too much!

Pressurecooker 01-25-2006, 06:52 AM Sorry this is a late reply, but if good ol Dad only has 350 to 400 fly hp then I think you've got him. Stock. At least it will be real close. A lot closer than he'd like to think. This I know for sure. Stock, you can run a high 13 qtr. and by my math, he's at about a low 14.;)
Pressurecooker 01-25-2006, 08:00 AM Ah the desert, I remember it well. Spent a lot of my life in it. Seems like yesterday. Back In Michigan 4 almost 5 years now. Which is where I was born. Spent about 15 in Las Vegas though. Was down to Phoenix many times both in the military then as a civilian and was in Tuscon for about a week TDY back in '87 while I was stationed in Eglin Florida at that time. Lived in Kingman Az about a year around 1996 and was in the Saudi Desert for 8.5 months 1991-92 during "the Storm". I lived in a Stucco house on the east side of 'Vegas much like the ones in the pics. No offense, but I'm glad to be back in Michigan. Snow, sleet, clouds and freezing rain and all.
But hey! Welcome to the Forum! and Go AirForce!
BTW, I was a crewchief on F-15's and F117a's. 2 terms.

jmsrt4 01-28-2006, 04:25 PM Hey guys, new to the forum and a kick ass car. I've been driving a Wrangler for the past ten years and decided to get my Srt-4. Very impressed! Man, this car can move, but now I want more power and will probably need help in understanding my new vehicle. I'll try to post pics in the future.
srt4chick 02-07-2006, 08:06 AM My name is Kim and I just bought my 2005 SRT-4 in Sept. It has limited Modifications at the moment because of the cash flow problem, but more is to come soon. What I have already is:
MSD Coil Pack and Spark Plug Wires
Full A-Pillar (color matched) that holds three gauges
air/fuel ratio, volt meter, and oil pressure
all say SRT-4 to match the stock boost gauge (silver faced also)
aftermarket shift knob because I couldn't stand the stock one
Mopar short throw shifter with the Booger Bushings Kit
Aftermarket tail lights
Clear third brake light and turn signal lenses
carbon fiber fog light covers
I will get pics up as soon as possible, all my files are too large
LilSparkPlug 02-07-2006, 06:29 PM SRT4chick, sign up at Photobucket.com, all of your images will be resized automatically when you upload them :)
Another one that hated the stock ball, stupid thing was too light and fell off all the damned time. *sigh* things you have to do to get the car to meet its price margin.
srt4chick 02-10-2006, 05:38 AM thank you for the advice with the pics!!!!
desertfighter 02-14-2006, 04:26 AM Hey my name is Matt. Choose the screen name cause i was deployed when I started my membership here, and guess what, im deployed again. Its good to see so many on here were/are in the service. My black SRT is an 04 with 44,000 miles. I drive A LOT!! Im from Clemson, GO TIGERS, South Carolina, where I am also a student. Mods are simple, Mopar Stage 1, DC Sports Strut Tower Brace, MSD Wires, Greddy Turbo Timmer, and tinted windows, cause that adds like 50hp alone, lol. IT wont let me add pics now but maybe later
Plan B 02-16-2006, 07:42 PM My name is Brian aka B aka Plan B (not to be confused with the morning after pill/emergency contraceptive).
I am 23 and live in Lynnwood, Wa (15 minutes north of Seattle)
Got a 2004 Black SRT-4. Picked it up used back in Sept. of 05. Guy before me put the Mopar BOV & Apexi Turbo Timer on it. All I've done is put the AEM SRI in. Even if I did have a digital camera I wouldn't post a pic of it because it looks exactly as it did on the showroom floor. That and I would rather take that money (for a digi) and put it into the car! You will probably see random questions posted by myself for this is my first car w/ turbo. And before the SRT I had a 89 Nissan Pickup, only to be preceded by a Geo Metro (I know, fast huh!). Look forward to chattin w/ you all.
Welcome to Dodge Forum. Your first fast car is always a lot of fun. Be safe.;)

farmgirl 03-09-2006, 01:50 PM Hi, my name is Sharon. Forum name "farmgirl".
I found my black 05 parked in the driveway Christmas morning. (after years of new kitchen appliances, my husband surprised me- I cryed for 2 weeks) I'm a graphic designer and yes, we have a farm. This is my first new car and also my first fast car- unless you count my 91 Escort GT that he totaled last year...lol. Enjoying it beyond words. I hope to have it for as long as I had that dang Escort- almost 200,000 miles. The husband has a 69 Baracuda SS (383) sitting in the barn waiting for him to have the time to bring it back to life, so don't feel to bad for him getting the 02 Neon.
no name for the car, yet
no modifications, yet, if ever (come on, I had an Escort, I'll be happy for quite a while)
no pictures. but just a stock, black 05 with a sunroof and viper seats. If you ever drive through central PA and see a little lady with greying hair and big grin on her face, it's me..
LilSparkPlug 03-09-2006, 10:35 PM HA HA farm girl thats hilarious about the kitchen appliances. My dad bought my mom a set of knives, which by the way were wicked expensive, when they first got together. He said hes never seen her as pissed. LMFAO aww man that made me laugh

Norm-Leistung - normal performance = 378.7 PS (that's HP) and 278.5 Kilowatts...not sure how that translates to torque

Not sure of the other words on that section
Imgebungsdaten - climate data
Umgebungs-Temperature - area temp = 15.3 C = 60 F
Relative Luftfeuchte - rel humidity = 44%
Luftdruck - Air Pressure = 960.9 hPa = 28.5 Hg

All the rest of my pics are to big....The fuel rail I painted all red with black letter and then clear coated....turned out nice. I got the crap for the 20 OCC but all the hose I keep getting suck and when it get warm it gets soft and sucks shut. I always do my oil changes before the 3000 mile mark and I try to keep it cleaned and waxed but Michigan weather takes its toll on cars.

Welcome to Dodge Forum dude. The tint looks very nice. I can't tell from the pic, did you tint the front ones to?
Racevette77 04-08-2006, 01:13 AM Whats up guys and gals. Man yall have some really nice SRT-4's posted here.
I just recently bought myself a 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4 about 2 weeks ago.
Im a Police officer in the state of Texas. My real name is Wayland - Friends and coworkers call me Wayman.
Brief story behind getting my SRT-4:
Back in 2000 i had a GF who had a 98 5 speed Neon. Now i knew how to drive a standard but i hadent actually put it inot practice untill she let me loose on her car. Needless to say i had much fun w/ it.
Fast forward: 2006
I have a C5 Corvette (love fast cars) and she is paid off finally and i wanted another car to drive around but still have fun in while i keep the Vette in the garage to fix up. Well a while back i started to notice the SRT-4's driveing around.... yeah they looked cool but i wasent too sure about them. One night im cruzeing (in the Vette) and this black SRT-4 raised up for a race. Needless to say i was impressed when i hammered on the gas (Vette gets to 140 from 70 VERY FAST) and the SRT-4 was hanging w/ me up untill 130mph. (After owning the SRT-4 and testing her - that guys ride had to have been moded stock theres no way he would have hung like he did)
At that point i was sold on the car i had to get one as soon as the Vette was paid off.
Now i have one:
No mods as of yet. I dont really plan on Modding her up too much but i do want to do a few lil things to her. I have the Vette to Mod and it costs on average Twice as much per part for it so gona keep the mods at a min for the SRT-4.
Hers a few pics nothing much.... sorry dont have a pic of me and my cars yet but soon to come.

It took a few years and lots of doing next to nothing to pay off the Vette. Im glad I got it paid off I hated putting so many miles on her + Im not easy on my cars. If they go fast - I unlesh the power regularly.
I really enjoy driveing the SRT-4. Definately the reason i bought it. There was NO WAY ide get something that couldent run and that is something the SRT-4 can do. Its fun to give her a lil gas and feel it when the turbo kicks in. Its alot different driveing than the Vette. It definately has ALOT Heavier clutch than the Vette. Gives the left leg a good work out but hay I dont mind. Shifting is alot different period. I find it eaiser to smoothly shift the Vette than the SRT-4 (unless i shift at low rpm) but I think that may be due to the turbo boost going up and down between shifts and the difference in how much force is used to depress the clutch.
Both cars are VERY fun .......... Least with the SRT-4 I can take more than 1 friend for a ride at a time LOL.
`71RR383SRT4 04-09-2006, 07:56 AM OK I got some pic's. OK just one for now.

SRTpastrychef 05-15-2006, 07:29 PM My turn. Better late than never. Name is Anthony. Born in NY, moved to FL then PA. Living in RI right now because of college. I attend Johnson & Wales University for Baking & Pastry Arts. It's my passion. You can usually find my cruisin around with lilsparkplug.
My baby is an '05 Orange Blast. Bought her brand new last May and currently has about 21k on her. Her name is Orangina. I can honestly say I have an obession with orange. Haha. Crytal can vouch for me.
Brought her to the track before the intake, Stage 1, and MM inserts. Ran 14.2 @ 94mph and then 14.3 @ 99mph. It was my first time at the track...so yeh. That night after the track i hit 150mph.

FlakDodger 05-16-2006, 05:04 AM Hi, name is Jim. I drive the first 2003 SRT-4 licensed in Wisconsin. I couldn't wait for them to be sold up here so I went to Florida and brought it home. I have never had as much fun breaking a car in as I did driving the 1500 miles back. Only problem was waiting until the first 1000 miles were on it before I opened it up. I think the smile was stuck on face for the next 3 states! I am a retired professional firefighter. The body is 60 years old, but the heart is still 18 and I can still pull a 1.9 60 foot.
Here are the mods so far:

ephraimlad 06-06-2006, 08:05 PM I was fortunate to get one of the few brand new 2005's out there three weeks ago. Better still - the ACR option! Does anybody know how many ACRs were made?
Nearing 50 years old, and after restoring 3 GTOs, I thought performance was all about big block eights. I was wrong. This little car is a blast, and can handily pulverize any GTO I ever owned - particularly in handling and braking.

Also have a 2005 PT Cruiser GT with the same (but detuned) turbocharged 2.4L. Why does the SRT-4 get (confirmed) 30MPG on the highway, and the PT Cruiser struggles to get 16MPG?
Plan B 06-06-2006, 10:40 PM I have never gotten 30 miles to the gallon! I'm happy if I get 20!
Racevette77 06-07-2006, 02:17 AM How the hell you get 30mpg? Im averageing 18 mpg and im not on all up on her all the time. Sure would like 30.
+ what is different about the ACR version?
I noticed the seats / rims but what else? any performace difference?
FiberSRT4 06-07-2006, 10:13 AM ive been able to get 28mpg so i dont know what you guys are haveing a problem with but the pt weights more and is less aerodynamical so i can see it getting less gas mileage but i dont know about 1/2 as much oh well
and the acr comes with different rims, seats, and suspension.
ephraimlad 06-08-2006, 11:56 PM The worst mileage I've had after nearly one month and 2750 miles is 24MPG. I've noticed that having the air conditioner makes a big difference in mileage. The best I've received is slightly over 30MPG while on the Blue Ridge Parkway between Sparta and Ashville NC. Please note that there was a bit of "spirited driving" then :)
The ACR package has adjustable shocks, beefed up control arms, lightweight BBS wheels and BF Goodrich track tires. Also, the seats are suitable for a 5-point harness and have agressive bolstering. The handling and braking is outstanding.
This one was the last new 2005 in the state, per the dealer. They had been receiving calls from other dealerships having offers for over sticker!
If I was going to own a small fast car it would be a Neon SRT they are sporty and mean....but I have the hardest time watching a car that has to have the drag slicks on the front it is just wild and weird.....but aside from that I am sure I would get use to it.....all of you have some great looking cars and this is coming from a Truck Chic :D

I drive a Cobalt SS/SC. I dont like to street race as I believe in keeping that action at a track. I am not here to troll or piss anyone off cause I drive a chevy. I respect the SRT-4 and alot of the other dodge product. this is why I am here. I am a dodge fan as well.
Any Manitoba SRT-4's or SRT-8's or RT's here. Drop me a line. Happy to chat.
Thanks.

Welcome again!
