Ok my name is Erik, I really haven't been very active on this forum. I usually just come on here to get great advise from the "SRT experts" b/c you know as well as I do that an SRT-4 Owner knows more about there car than the dealer. I have owned my SRT for over 1 year now I got it in August of 2004, and currently have 15,400 miles on my car. It's a 2004 Silver Srt-4 as you can tell by my forum name. I live in Schenectady, NY which is about 15 mins from Albany. I went to school for Manufacturing and ended up being a CNC machinist for about 3.5 years. After the company I was working for got into trouble with GE they went out of business, so now I am with an Architecture firm. I have been a CAD technician for about a year and 4 months now, it's pretty damn fun. Here are examples of the jobs we have done if you know the Albany area ( Albany international Airport, Renselaer Rail station ) Currently I am working on all the Empire state plaza Building. I am a member of a local car club, it's called Reflections Of Speed. We have a full-blown forum www.rspeed.org. Registration for the forum use is free obviously. Check it out, when you have some free time. My name on they is the same SilverRT4. For those that don't already know, I'm Mitch and I manager a gas station (it's actually more of a diesel station since it's primary business is big diesel trucks such as dump trucks, semi's, loaders, bobcats, equipment, etc.) on the second shift. I have been and always will be Mopar or no car with few exceptions having my '71 Roadrunner as my first ever car followed by an '88 Daytona Shelby Z 2.2L Turbo II, '87 Daytona Shelby Z 2.2L Turbo II, '99 Neon R/T Coupe 5-spd. and my '04 SRT-4. I live in Columbus Ohio and have recently moved into another house with a 2 car heated garage which I cannot wait to make use of. My '04 SRT-4 is black with the standard Viper seats and a sunroof. My SRT-4 has the following mods: Performance: Mopar Performance BOV MSD Super Conductor Plug Wires MSD Ignition Coil K & N Typhoon CAI 2 OCC's Mopar Performance Short Throw Shifter w/ Booger Bushings Mopar Performance/Borla Cat-Back Exhaust Vibrant Front Strut Tower Brace DC Sport CS-2 Rear Strut Tower Brace Prothane Race Motor Mount Inserts Mopar Performance Stage 1 ATP Pressure Pipe (I still need to put this in though) Other (I still need to install the pillar which has all the gauges and wiring all ready to be installed): Triple Pillar Pod Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultra Lite Oil Pressure Gauge Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultra Lite Voltage Gauge Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultra Lite Exhaust Gas Temperature Gauge Audio: Alpine CDA-7863 Head Unit Alpine SPS-080A 3-1/2" Dash Speakers Alpine SPS-170A 6-1/2" Door Speakers Alpine SPS-690A 6"X 9" Rear Speakers My screen name is obvious as to why I chose it, my '71 Roadrunner is my first car and will be with me until my demise. I have pics of my SRT-4 and it's mods, but none of myself so here are a few of what I do have: Thumbnail Image

Hello, my name is Scott and I'm..... an SRT-4 owner. (In a monotone unisun from the group "Hi Scott"). Then a reassuring word from LSP "It's OK, we're all SRT-4 owners here, just tell us your story. No one will judge you". Well, it all started innocently enough, or so I thought. I saw a poster for the new Dodge Charger. "Gee, it sure would be nice to own one of those", I thought to myself. Later that week I went on the Dodge website, just to look around. I figured no harm in looking, right? That's when I saw it, "SRT-4". It's unassuming little 'chick car' looks. Hmmm says I, SRT? What's that? <click> WOW, nice video. Viper SRT-10?, that's hardcore (and way too expensive). Charger SRT-8?, not out yet. Hmm, there it is again, SRT-4. That was my first 'binge'. I spent hours perusing the specs, then onto some general web searches. Within a day or two, I found my mind wandering back to my little browse through the SRT page. The next thing I knew, I was back on the site! I'm not even sure how I got there, but now I found myself reading every bit of info I could all over again. My little problem started to interfere with my work, so I took a few days off. That's when things got worse.... Before I knew it I was at a Dodge dealership. I was on a mission, and nothing could stop me now. "May I help you", it was a salesman. Could I just tell him why I was there? "I've been thinking about the new Charger R/T" I said. (yeah, just a little social driving, nothing wrong with that). As he lead me toward the Chargers, there it was, a little white SRT-4! "What's this one", I asked (as if I didn't know). "That's the SRT-4, it's an '05 though, last year for them". (LAST YEAR for them!!! I was trying desperately to hide my panic. Stay calm now) "Would it be OK to test drive that too?" I asked, tension in my voice. "Just to have something to compare to". (Good save, don't act desperate). "Sure" he said, "but that's the last one we have, so I hope you like the color". (white, doesn't attract too much attention, I thought. It's not like I searched the inventory of every Dodge dealer in southern MA and you were the only one that had it in white, or anything like that). "White's not bad", I said. The next day I was driving it home. "Gas?, I just got gas this morning. Damn, time for an oil change too" My driving was spiraling out of control. The only thing that got me back to work was the 50 min. ride in.... and knowing I'd get the 50 min. ride back home. Maybe there'll be traffic! Something had to be done. I knew I had two choices; 1) Check myself in to the 'Betty Dodge' clinic. or 2) Find a group of people with the same problem I have. Since the 12 steps here sounded more palatable (Step 1: Borla exhaust. Step 2: BOV. Step 3: Shorty intake. etc.), I decided to give this a try. It feels better to get it off my chest, and I will keep coming back for support. Thank you all for the coffee. And now for the pics; Thumbnail Image

And you bought your car at Motor Mart Dodge didn't you? They had a little white one there, the only one they had, next to all of the Chargers. And you said southern, MA....so Im betting on that. That dealership is like...6 minutes from my house *duck and cover DUCK AND COVER* Your post reminds me of wordslayer. AHA THERES TWO OF YOU! Damn you white SRT owners and your sarcastic little cult!!! Tee hee just kidding!!! Welcome to you and your little snowball of boost.

Pay up gorgeous! <kidding> Actually, They sold that one 2 days before I got down there. It would have been handy to buy from them b/c they're like 10 min from where I live. (small world) I ended up getting it from Weber Dodge in Hingham instead. The only other white ones locally were 2 at one of the Herb Chambers'. They were anniversary editions with the blue "fang" stripes. Since I wanted white to avoid attracting attention, I took a pass, as nice as they were. I work in Boston so Hingham wasn't too far out of the way. They were great to deal with for the most part ($750 under sticker + $1k bonus cash). There was a little F-up on the Lojack though. I paid for the recovery plus alarm ($995ish) but only got the recovery. They said it was b/c the car already comes with theft deterent, but I had to call them on it when I saw the Lojack paperwork. They were great when I caught it though, gave me the option of the money back or the advanced warning (which I think is about $50 more than the alarm). I'm taking them up on the A/W (like I said, I work in Boston). Time will tell how good their service is. I supposedly get free oil changes for the life of the car, but sounds too good to be true. I did the first one myself @ 1k mi b/c I thought it was only fair considering it's not a scheduled change, but I'll try them for the next one. The Mobil 1 thing might create a problem for them ($$$). I'm going to call the service dept to find out (salesman said it was n/p, but I want to dbl check with service b4 I count my chicks). As for the word-like posts, Thank you for the compliment. I don't consider my rants to be in the same league as his posts, but the comparison was quite flattering <--blushing--> I've greatly enjoyed his more than entertaining posts. His "dream" one was hysterical! As I mentioned in a prev post, I started frequenting this forum a few mos b4 I bought, so I became fairly familiar with the great bunch of guys/girls b4 I joined. And thx for the Welcome, My little snowball and I will enjoy it here. Speaking of snowball, I've been sqeeking by on the stock (don't even try driving in the snow) tires. I've been doing OK so far, as I have lived in these parts my whole life (I'm not old, but I have been young for a fairly long time), I'm no stranger to bad weather. I do have to save up soon for the Tire rack snows/steelies deal though. Scott

I had steelies on my little guy, but I traded them with my friend for his 18s with my snow tires of last winter since his car is sitting at NEIT practically permanently until he gets his license back.....in 2009. SHIT SON! :D Yeah MM is 10 min from me too, we'll have to meet up one time so I can see little Snowballie himself in person. Yeah the salesman said it was no problem. It was of course not a problem for him to throw in a little sales "kick" to get you to buy the car, though he didn't know that the snowball was the object of your desire. If I worked in Boston my ass would buy LoJack too, but Im poor, and LoJack doesnt take food stamps. I kid I kid!!! Well I am poor, but I kid about food stampage. Not today. Anyways since Im bored heres some updated pix of my car. Well one of the winter ensemble. Ill have to take pix of the new winter ensemble tomorrow....since its somewhat sunny, and I can finally give him a MUCH needed and deserved bath. Thumbnail Image
