RE: Top dash pad removal
you have to remove the entire dash assembly to get the "top" off.
I had good luck with contact cement, a small brush and standing on the running board to look through the windshield.
I also used a large bore needle and syringe (turkey marinade injector) to apply glue under the material. if you do this, be careful to push out any air through the needle hole. I was able to reach about an 8" dia area doing this. cleaned up with lighter fluid. all I'm left with is 2 small "nicks" where the needle went, and it's hidden behind the "hump" over the instrument cluster.
