It is an extra cab running faster than the Ram regular cabs after all. I wouldn't take Motor Trend's times to heart, the Roush F-150 I saw at firebird raceway in Phoenix ran a 14.1 in 90+ heat and that was with spinning its tires pretty bad. The thing was brand new also.
There can be many points, such as weight (the Roush is heavier), displacement (the Ram has more) and my original point; don't always believe what you read. You read motor trends times and made a comment, I go to the track and saw a brand new Roush run a 14.1 in 90+ heat and by the way many 15 and 16 second Hemi Rams run at that track. I'm not ragging on the Ram, I have had three (most recent an 03), I just look at all brands whithout brand loyal glasses. If an aftermarket tuner built a supercharged ram I'm sure it would be cool to.
Believe me or not. That red Roush is the actual truck I had at American Ford in Bloomington MN. That is the first Roush Stage 2 F-150 in the new body style Roush ever made. They used that trruck for testing with the magazine, their literature and website. That truck did not have a supercharger on it. It wasn't very fast either. A Ram with a hemi will beat it. Only in a straight line though. That Roush Stage 2 will out corner it all day long. Now put the supercharger on the Roush F-150 and you have a different ball game. Put a supercharger on the Ram and the ballgame takes another turn. That Roush has a sad beginning though. Let's just say we never got to sell it due to the closing of the dealership.

And my point is 14.1 in a supercab Roush is not just barely beating a Ram's (quadcab) high 15 at best. That would be at least 10 truck lengths, doesn't sound like barely to me. I saw it do 14.1 in real life, not in a magizine.

do you honestly think that the guys at motortrend are such bad drivers that they vary from your times by almost a second? that f-150 was modded a little bit more.
and anyhow im comparing the rc 2wd ram to it. it'll run a 15.0 with the 17 inch rims

I am just telling you what I saw in real life, 14.1 in 90+ heat (that is still about 5 truck lengths ahead of a 15 second truck), not what I read in a magazine. I think real life carries a bit more weight to those that saw it. And it was an extra cab, so why would I compare it to a regular cab. I have also seen supercharged Rams with not so great results, mid 14s, they don't seem to handle boost well I guess. I would never supcharge my Ram, maybe turbo?
