The current issue of Mopar Muscle had great power gains on the new Hemi Rams with Edelbrock headers. They have a nice article about it in the current edition(June 2004).

Finally! I'm trying to mod my HEMI too! I have the dual exhaust, but we ordered it with them so I don't know what it felt like before the upgrade. I saved my money and I'm just waiting for that Kenne Bell Supercharger Kit to come out!

Cold-air intakes won't do anything for the Hemi -- the PCM (thanks Amanda! ) won't adjust fuel maps to match any increased airflow. Needs to be reprogrammed, have a piggy-back unit, or just out and out replaced...

So the Cold Air won't give me any power at all? You may have just saved me $300.

Uh, I would like to disagree. There are plenty of private & commercial dyno results that show CAI's make a difference on the Hemi. The IAT is the sensor that is affected by the CAI, if it senses lower temperature air, either due to the origination location or due to increased velocity (less time to warm up), then the PCM advances the timing thus giving more power. Depending on the CAI design, you can greater effect peak horsepower or lower range power. I chose a system the dynoed very well at lower rpms, and the biggest difference in everyday driving is that my transmission doesn't down shift as often looking for more power, & as a result my mileage has gone up.

I have heard of people with '03 Hemi's getting good results, but the ones with 04's are getting nothing. I do not know from experience, but this is what I've been hearing and reading.

They have almost nothing for it! I have been asking in at both dealerships here and nobody has any modifications or knows when any will be in. One mechanic said Dodge is waiting a while before putting anything out.

Kenne Bell is doing a blower for the Hemi so they have to have R&D for it. Honestly, unless I can get my truck tuned on a dyno, I'm not touching their blower.
