Default "Truckin" mag 4X4 special

Just picked picked up the latest copy of Truckin. They have done a good edition on 4X4 lifting basics. And as usual they pick everything but Dodge as for examples. But there is alot of good advice. Usually its all about the low riders but this issue is geared for the 4X4 guys.

It is a hard desicion to lift. I love the looks but don't want to loose the power.

The mag has a formula for the ratio change needed for the tire size increase. Its someting like (old tires size/new tires size)*current ratio. I figured if i went from stock 31's to 35's with 3.55 that i would need to change to 4.00 gears i think the next ones are actually 3.96. Somehow the above formula didnt work out right. I will have to get the mag out tonight and correct the formula. They also said to go up one more ratio for performance and towing. So i would guess that would be 4.10.

Correction to the formula!!!

(new tire diameter/old tire diameter)*current ratio

(35/31)*3.55=4.00806......................
