no rub at all... if i was in a full crank turn and hit a bump and was going fast it might rub... and the tires are 235/45/17 dunlop sp sport fm900. and they grip very good when i decide to actually boost, which is rare.

I run 225/40/17 Toyo proxes 4's on Enkei RSV's (anthracite). I run 225/40/17 Dunlop D2 WinterSports on my stock rims for winter time. I have no problem with rubbing at all, but I did notice railroad tracks are a little harder feeling since I went with teh lower profile tires. Personally, i am unhappy with teh Toyo's. They are an all season tire and I don't get very good grip from them. The stock BFG's grabbed way better than these. They look nice and they get teh job done I suppose, but I wouldn't recommend them.

Danny, I think part of the problem lies in the missize. You lost sidewall, going to a 40 series tire in the 225 width. While it feels quick in corners, it will lose you grip. That little 5% of sidewall helps when you try to get the torque down by flexing a little. Note the fact that people go with 15" wheels with a drag setup to get more sidewall, even running 55+ profile, too. You got more torque with the smaller radius in your setup, but it is harder to apply.

Just out of curiousity, why did you go with a 40 series snowtire? It seems a little counter-intuitive, unless you wanted to get a little better feel, since snows are pretty washy.

BTW, The RSV is a nice rim, I like it on the SRT-4. Pretty light, too.

A lot of people use the Proxes4 with sucess, even some on here that run upgraded turbos. The proper size to keep the sidewall height relatively the same is a 45 series in the 225 width. It might make a pretty big difference.

Just a thought.

I misspoke, they are 225/45/17's, not 40's.

The reason I went with 45 series winter tires was price and availability. I got them for 400 out the door, mounted and balanced. I wanted to go with teh stock size, but thye would have to order them and they were pricier. I was acually impressed at how well these worked in teh nasty stuff.

The RSV's were actually my second choice. I liked the ZR1's better, but I know 2 guys who have them, so i went with something a little different. I'm more than happy with the RSV's. They do look good on a silver car IMO.

When I went with the 225/45's for summer tires, I figured I would get a little more grip from the wider meats, but it hasn't been the case. I knew I would get a hrsher ride, but it comes with the territory. I figured I'm not at a power level where sidewall flex is an issue or a necessity.

Here is a crappy pic of my car with teh RSV's....
