Default choppy boost

i just put the s1 with a boost controller and im tring to run 17-19 lbs but i get a real choppy boost. just wondering if anybody has a forge motorsport wastegate and if that will help the problem. I was also thinking it could be the bottom intercoller pipe. would a pressure pipe help. and the last thing while im here does anybody have the eibach 1.6 / 1.8 springs, i was wondering how they ride ( i couldn't resist a deal) so i ordered them already.

thanks alot

my boost was cutting out and stuttering, I started to open up the gap on the spark plugs from .42.....got to .52 and everything was smooth again. i heard that you need to narrow the gap when you start to add HP, and stay around .50 when stock.

yo, dude i think the problem is that you are running to much boost. and yes a new wastegate would help. and second it also depends on what kind of boost controller you have. manual(turbo xs) or electric(greddy or blitz, apex i, etc.)? if its an electric then you have to mess around with it. well actually if its either or you still have to play with it (haha play with it) in order to get a good response, but an electric is a little bit more difficult to use if you dont know what you are doing. i had the same problem when i had, when i had, a Greddy profec spec 2. i think it was anything above 16 it would bog out.

yea even low amounts of boost (w/ the manual controller) are choppy. do u kno how hard it is to put the wastegate in?

i would think that s1, you probably wouldnt change the plug gap from the stock gap....but I was thinking that if you had changed the gap previous, you might want to change it back and see what happens.
