Default High idle????

Went to start and the battery was dead. Jumped and started right away but now idles at 2000 rpms and won't come down. Any ideas.

Default RE: High idle????

make sure nothing is holding the throttle plates open. I had a rubber gasket do that to me once. Scared the shiz out of me! Except mine was trying to redline.

I think i figured it out. Apparently i left the dome light on and it killed the bat. I think the high idle was the alternator trying to charge the battery. I ran to work cam out and it was still the same. Once i turned off the dome and let it run a while the revs came back down. Hopefully that was all it was. I have 158k on it and you should see how clean the motor is.
