ok so im running stock besides my greddy bov. and i was thinkin about downpiping. but i dont know much about it. can someone please tell me how much hp gain and a few good downpipe brandes?
im looking to spend about 300 bux. and i know they arent that much so what else should i do since im stock BESIDES intake or turbo upgrades.
posthondaremoval the maxxfab you have does it have the high flow cat with it or no and will it work with a bone stock srt4 and will it cause any check engine lights???

maxxfab has a dp that is interchangable, that's the one i have. it comes with a high-flow cat and a race pipe, and you change them out for whatever your needs are. the pipe itself won't cause a code, but if you use the race pipe on a s0 car you'll get a cat code. any stage ecu will get rid of this code.

Can't say it any better than PSI Chick, as usual.
That is the setup I run as well. Thumbs up, all the way.
well the major issue i always had was the electronic cut out. the motors tend to fail, causing the plates to be stuck partialy open. this causes leaks and we all know how good those are.
i also have concerns about the ecu pulling timing with these cut out's. we all know that it takes the ecu time to adjust to new mods and changing conditions. well if you go from a full exhaust to a sudden release point, there's the possibility that the ecu will pull timing thinking that something is wrong. this has been shown to happen with the addition of dp's and catbacks if they are installed and immedietly put on a dyno. so it's possible that it's doing the same on the cut out. now i haven't seen any evidence of this, but i haven't seen much to the contrary either.
