ok..it WAS at the nationals this past weekend..the sidepipes are functional..and it sounded pretty rough trying to drive to its spot...having a hard time keeping it running. it IS a small block..whoever said that someone told them that it was a big block..tell those people that mopar small blocks have distributors in the back... the intake manifold IS cracked, in two places, and one is pretty big. i have several pictures of the engine and the cracks, as well as the truck itself..i will post them up soon. i also spoke to the guy parked next to them..the owner's wife told him how much they have tied up in the truck now..including how much was in suspension work alone..who wants to take a guess?

yea i was told it took him over a month just to get the mounts for the "twins" machined. sounds like too much effort has been put into it, but still would be badass, and yes i saw it cruising around by our hotel in heath saturday afternoon about 20 miles away from the nats and in the other direction from brice road so he does drive it.

I'd guess he's into it for about 100K. And it doesn't run that well, either, as others here have said. He had it at Carlisle also. Too much blower for too little motor.

where were you 20 miles from the track that you saw him driving it around? i was ALL over brice friday and saturday night, and considering that the truck barely runs AND we saw him unload and load it onto a trailer, i would find it odd to see it cruising...especially odd that anyone would go to any trouble to cruise OFF of brice during the nats or CCs...all that is twenty miles in the opposite direction from brice is farmland.....if you turn right out of the track, it takes you to brice....so you turned Left? if you werent on brice during the nationals, you have only seen a small part of the mopar nationals, and i kind of feel bad for you... here is a map...where abouts were you? Hey Dave... you slummin' or somethin? That's Dave Downing boyz 'n gurlz 'n yes that red R/T runs that fast. NO it ain't DONE yet... before you ask. Freakin' intake just went on yesterday. The rad wasn't in yet so I doubt the bumper was either... or the hood. The dude with the DRB never showed up... so they'r gonna set the fuel synch (hopefully) tomorrow and MAYBE I'll get 'er back Monday. Bruce Bridges is sendin' me a 55x52mm TB to try out... which will prob'ly work better with the 2.02 heads anyway. I have no idea what this combo will turn... but I'm hopin' for a 12 somethin'. 12 anything! Then I'll go look up Gary Sheldon 'n run that thing for pink slips.
