Default HEADERS

Can anyone tell me what would be the BEST headers to use for both Sound and for performance. I'm running Flowmaster 40 Series Exhaust right now.

Hey thanks,

what is the difference between Shorty Headers and regular headers? any performance differences?

I've heard people talk about JBA Shorty's, what are those?

I'm trying to pick some out and get them installed, its the next thing on my list and I'd like to do it next week.

The difference in header length determines where your torque gains will be most evident. For instance, shorty headers are better for low end torque (Trucks need it here...), while full length headers give you more mid range torque.

JBA is a very good brand for headers. I have had them on 2 previous vehicles and been very impressed with the fit, the look and the performance. I ordered JBA ceramic coated shorty headers for my Hemi QC. The ceramic coating helps to lower your engine compartment temperature (about 50-80 degrees) and they also maintain their metallic luster, unlike metal ones. I will let you know how it goes in 2 weeks after install... Hope this helps you.

Yes thank you, your response was helpful. Please do post how it goes after install.

so in the performance department there isn't that much of difference between shorty header brands right? So edelbrok would put out the same power as the JBA?
