Hey...i am curious about bed liners. I have purchased a new Dak and am awaiting delivery. I am looking into Rhino liners and Line-X. If anyone has experience with either one, positive or negative, it would be appreciated. I have applied my own to the cab floor of a work truck, but that was long and not as high of quality as I desired. Thanks!!!

DakMan6704, I'm trying to make the same decision right now. It'd be great if you could send any info you get my way.

I've decided to go with the Line-X. I have an appointment tomorrow to get it done. They have a higher tensile strength and are more of a 'slippery' surface. If I ever need to have a stickier surface, maybe I will have a bed mat or just a blanket, pending the material to be hauled. I dont intend on dropping 1/2 a ton of stone or anything in, so im not worried extensively about dent deterring. I'll try to post some pics and info after I get it finished!!

I am heading off this very morning to have my 04 Dakota lined with RHINO LINING. I did a lot of research in comparing Line-X to Rhino and here's my bias opinion ;) LINE-X Uses polyurethane/polurea Dries as it hits the bed's surface (120-140F pre-heating) Hard rigid surface Better consistency to textured appearance Colors available (black, green, grey, blue, and custom) RHINO LINING Uses Tuff Stuff polyurethane coating Cures on the surface Hard rubber surface feel Colors available (black, green, blue, and custom) The reasons I decided against getting Line-X: -I didn't like the rigidity of the product due to the fact that a truck bed flexes under normal operation. Additionally, I had the opportunity to examine two different trucks (one with Line-X and the other Rhino) and saw first hand how the Line-X (after several year period) had cracked in the areas of the bed that flexed. - The fact that Line-X takes about an hour to remove from a truck bed, where as Rhino Lining takes about 3 hrs, spoke to me on the adhesion quality of Rhino Lining. Things to keep in mind: -The quality of the liner is only as good as the people who put it in! -Most spray-in bed liners will last about 4-6 years and then need to be replaced. -UV protectant coatings are available to guard against fading and longevity. -A warranty is a good thing :) -When you do decide on the product; go in and tell them that you are still deciding between the two brands and see if they will give you an "incentive". I got an over the rail coating at no additional charge! This may or may not work ;) Hope this helps ya!
