Default Exhaust System

Well, I dont know if I will be keeping the truck, but if I do, does any V6 owners out there recommend a good brand. I want a nice growl, will a 3.7 sound as nice as a 4.7?

I put a flowmaster muffler on mine - kept the origonal exhaust, just put in a muffler. it is 100% better than it was, but unfortunately not a nice as a v8. And, unfortunately it can develop a bit of a "tinny" or vibtration sound if revved too high...but still a nice grumbel.

I'm not sure what Flowmaster was put on - I went to a local "mom and pop" exhaust shop, I asked how much it would be to put on a flowmaster, I was told 200.00 it is a single in single out 2 and 3quarter inch (I think) I've looked at the mufler, and it doesn't say what series it is - neither does the reciept. I guess if there is a "standard" size or series this is it.

I've had a couple of people comment that they really like the sound of the muffler though.

I have added a K&N filter to my truck - I did it abotu 2 months ago. I have noticed no increase in MPG or performance. Granted it's just a filter, not the FIPK; however, I am not convinced I'll see that much gain from an FIPK so I just went with the filter...

just put a fipk gen 2 on mine still waiting to see results one way or the other on fuel. throttle responce, acceleration noticably improved. mainly noticed from 2700 to 4000 rpm, passes with ease on the freeway now. just gotta do some other things to get the cold air intake to it's full potential.

I didnt see any gains out of my intake until I reset the PCM by unhooking the battery for 10 min.

Well as soon as I get off my lazy bum, I will take some pics of what I did too the intake of mine. I put in the stock replacement K & N, inlarged the opening on the filter housing and replaced that box on the Throtlebody with the peice from the jeep liberty. Going to try and take those pics this weekend for ya to see.
Ok here are those pics I promised:

Ok do you ya'll see the hose near the upper right hand corner...it is just sitting there open. It has pluged into the back of the box I took off. I think it is the breather hose, but I am not sure...I have had no ill effects of it just sitting there, I was just wondering if anyone know what it was...thanks
