Default '01 Durango Woes

Hi. I'm new here and also a new '01 Durango R/T owner. I still have yet to keep the vehicle because of seemingly various electrical problems. The dealer is having a hardtime figuring out the problem, so I thought I'd try here.
The PCM was replaced because of a badly sputtering engine and now the A/C won't turn on, the defrost light/indicator flashes continously and the alarm won't disable until the engine is started. I'm not really sure if it's all related, but it's a big coincidence. It has the service tech. pretty flustered as well as myself as they've had it for 3 weeks now. The dealer is getting pissed as it cutting into they're profit and are starting to get reluctant to work on it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Have they checked the Central Timing Module? It seems like that is what it would be since there is various electrical problems in all different areas and the module controls all this. Is it a Dodge dealer you bought the truck from?

No, unfortunely it wasn't a Dodge dealership I bought it from. They're not too up on Dodge I think. Does the CTM control the Cruise Control? That seems to be another problem. It either stutters in cruise or it won't even go into cruise.

I think the CTM pretty much controls most of the electrical functions on the Durango; power windows, security system, power locks, and problaby cruise control, etc...... But as far as the stuttering goes on the engine, look into and/or replace the CTM as "Last of the R/T's" mentioned. I am pretty sure nearly all of your electrical problems will go away. Once your cruise control is working properly again and you still get some engine stuttering, replace the throttle position sensor to fix that stuttering while on cruise control.
