It took me a couple of months to gather up these things but today was the day for action and now, its finaly all pau (finished) I dropped it 5 inches out back (No not the steak house  ) and 4 inches up front, slapped on some chromed 18 inch rims, tinted the windows, put the tail gate spoiler on the............well...... the tail gate, and tail light covers, all done today, wheew! what a heck of a long day it was to, but good fun seeing her truck transform right in front of our eyes, heres some pics.

Thanks guy,
It takes time my friend, it takes time, I plan on a bed cover, fender skirts, or what ever they're called, a back sliding window and a few other things, but it takes time to gather up things to put on, all the things on there were done in a one day period. (lowering, rims, tint, spoiler, and tail lense cover's) I think that was enough for one full day?:D

They're called 'Fender Flares'. THAT represents a LOT of work. Looks great! That's gonna be a nice custom ride.

looks really nice man... seems we have all the same plans for our dakotas... except yours are comming togeather soon than mine.

I really want them fender flairs also, they make the trucks look very aggressive. But keep up the good work and ill keep and eye out for you when you get around to more mods. later

-Brett

ps. i think you had a great idea painting the taillight covers the same... they look much better than if they were just black. I ripped mine off, i actually perfer the red/white standard color.

Thanks.
Yea the tail light covers were ugly till they were painted the same color, they seemed to stick out being black.
Take your time with your truck, no reason to rush with things, I just happened apon fiancial good fortune the past couple of months thats the only reason why we were able to fix up our trucks the way we were able to, just hang in there buddy, you'll get your truck done soon! thanks again.

Hey Hawaiian Punch!

I was wondering if you still got the stock rims from the truck and if you're willing to sell them? I'm in Honolulu, and could pick em up! Do you have the 15x8 or the 15x7? stockers if you still got em?

BTW NICE TRUCK!
Aloha!

Truck looks really good man....real good... I love how you went with a body color tailcovers as opposed to the black ones..... I had the black ones on my truck...but my truck was red & black so it went well.......it definately takes time to do mods on a vehicle and it looks like you did one bang up job.....

One small suggestion......why dont you do a Stampede body kit? It would cover up the underlining on the sides where you can see the bottom of the truck...and it only adds like 2 In to each side......it may be too much for your truck as you are already quite low.....just a thought tho...

Interesting, you by any chance have a link to the site where they sell this underlining? I never heard of it or maybe I've seen it around but just didnt know what it was called, I appriciate your suggestion, I'mma check it out.

I just did a search on it and they dont apparently sell it as a kit....so its not worth the hassle of buying it.....Mopar wants something like 2k for the entire set......go figure.... I would put something along the side so you dont see the tacky underlining......but I love the work on the truck.....KEEP IT COMIN!!!

OK Confused, by underlining, do you mean the Pinch weld that you see under the truck, were the rocker attaches to the inner? If so, could you not just find a nice set of skirts that will clean it up?

Yea hes talkin about the pinch welds. The Stampede Kit is a Body kit that comes from Mopar. I have attached some photos of an R/T with it. It came out in 2003, and it was a ground effects group. Very pricey. Anywhere from $2k to $4k for the kit. Thats rediculous.

Anyway, truck looks good. A flat bed cover, or a soft one that lifts with hinges would complete it. You'd be surprised how much gas mileage a bed cover adds to your normal mileage. Only other suggestion aside from the bed cover, and fender flares, I would suggest either painting the front bumper silver to match, or getting a bumper cover. Maybe painting the door handles silver to match, and some street scene grille inserts.

Nice ride.

dont hate, i think it looks great esp. since he did it himself. I am a huge fan of lowered trucks.
btw man add fenderflares asap because they make a HUGE difference when looking at a set of rims. looks good!
