Since I'm without a scanner, I *might* have to take very nice digital pictures of the diagram, but don't worry, we'll get it worked out. :)

95Intrepid 10-23-2003, 11:01 PM Hey Everyone Thanks Alot For teh help I got the console today from UPS and it looks like there are only 4 wires I have to deal with. The wires for the lights are already there as that's all I had in the first place. Looks like I will have to get a diffrent mounting bracket but the part numbers for the diffrent ones are printed on it. These forums are great.

Dodgegirl19 10-24-2003, 08:40 PM Here's what the dealership has... these are pictures of copies since I don't havea scanner...

You are great. Thanks Alot. Went to the dealer today and ordered the mounting braket for it. It was only 23.00 but the wire harnest was like 80.00 oh well I can hard wire in the display. Its only 4 wires. Hope I can help others with some problems too.

95Intrepid 10-28-2003, 07:55 PM Well I found the wires that I need to connect to the CCD bus under the dash but no go the console shows nothing but the compass. On looking at the diagram that Amanda got me it looks like the Overhead Console Moduale was not installed because my car did not have this option. Does anybody know where this module would be located and if not do you think that I could maybe just buy one and connect it to the concole since it is a basic positive and negative buss.
dodgefreak 10-28-2003, 08:05 PM hmm...I am not sure but I will see what I can find...though Amanda will probably beat me to it LOL
What all is this supposed to tell you?? direction and temp only or MPG and stuff like that??
95Intrepid 10-28-2003, 08:33 PM The direction is independent from the rest of the console. As sone as I hooked up the power the compass worked. The info that I am not getting is the temp, MPG and things like that. I really don't care about the other stuff I would really just like the temp to work. Took the temp sensor from my console install in the truck but it didn't do any good. I know it's alotof questions and time for a silly thing like this but I just like to see if I can get my crazy ideas to work.
Dodgegirl19 10-28-2003, 09:17 PM Hmmmm... I want to check with the electrical mechanic before fully responding... I think you may just need the module... but I want to make sure... :)

CHASTAIN 11-07-2003, 07:34 PM Hello.

New to the Forum here. I came from over at DodgeIntrepid.net.

I was reading the post, and I was interested in this because I am about to do the same with my '95. Do you have the 3-connector BCM? I think it is required for this to work.

Have you completed the work yet? Was the wiring pre-existing?

Dodgegirl19 11-07-2003, 07:54 PM WELCOME!! DF is growing all the time... (I know... I'm on the inside!! LOL!) and some GREAT features are coming... please keep coming back! :):)
The Overhead Console Ambient Temperature Sensor is located in the front bumper... you'll need to buy one from the dealer or junkyard and install it yourself since your car wasn't equipped from the factory... that's what I've found out so far... LOL!

CHASTAIN 11-08-2003, 12:38 AM That is for a standard OTIS, what about the newer EVIC. Can it be used in a 1st GEN?
95Intrepid 11-09-2003, 09:50 PM I havent done the install yet. Need to get the bracket to mount it. Have gone to the dealer twice and they otrdered the wrong part both times. Is the OTIS all that I need to get. I tryed to hook up to the bus that is under the dash but no go. Well next time I go to the dealer I will look and see how much the OTIS is.

Well maybe i will find some time to get it in there now. My wife has been bugging me about the hole in the headliner.
