Tow limit's

Question for you guy's who tow,My Buddy has 2000 Durango w/a 4.7 Magnum 4X4 it has a trany cooler and a class 3 hitch he want's to tow a Tow behind camper,but he ghet a strait answer from anybody
Anybody here know what the tow capacity is?

What gears does he have, the 3.55s with the tow package is like 4500 lbs. but the 3.92s are higher

He has the 3.55 w/ no tow package he put the hitch & trany cooler on.
Are you sure it's around 4,500 wow that sounds kinda low.

Yeah, I'm sure, could be 5,500 but not much higher. I got the same exact thing with the tow package, if he's got the owner's manual it's in there

i have the same durango and i pull a dual axle car trailer with my 1968 charger on it. it has gone from atlanta to ohio for the nats 2 times. also pulled an 86 cherokee from atlanta to denver no problems!

That's pretty impressive but what is the combined weight of the trailer & car?
