Default Side Steps

Hi, this is Tiffany. I am a student at the University of Central Florida. My truck is constantly on campus= door dings are always appearing. I am getting it painted in a week, and I was thinking about ways to prevent them. I was wondering if side steps help avoid door dings. Do they come out much farther than the widest part of the door?

Does anyone have some advice?

I was looking at some and the black painted one are around $250.

Thanks, Tiff

well what type of truck do you have?? I dont know if they will come out far enough or not...but one thing you can do is get the door molding that they have on the SLT rams.
