Default Constant Hum / Ticking noise HElp

When I am coasting or not applying the gas I hear a constant ticking noise coming from the front end. Thought it was a stuck pad or caliper but Les Schwab said everything was a-ok. Anyone have a clue? It is the weirdest thing. Kind of like a card in the spoke of a bike. All is fine when applying the gas but as soon as my foot comes off the pedal it starts up. I think it's coming from the front end but is hard to tell ( exhaust system ) is pretty loud. Nothing visible under chassis, no leaks or excessive heat seen just an anoyying tickticktickick....any Ideas where to look?

Do you hear it when your outside of the car or only when inside the car? What grade of gas do you use?

I just use regualr gas(87). The noise is from the rear end I think. I took it to the dealer they drove it and said it needs new rear end!!! $2500.00 They didn't even look under the car( cost me $68.00 to let them drive my car around the block) The tech said that he knows that noise and that's what is. I think I need a second opinion. Anyone else heard this before. I checked the u joints and they are solid. What else can I look for? I've driven about 500 miles with the noise and nothings fallen off yet. I only hear it when I have my foot off the gas at over 25 miles per hour. Sounds like a card in a spoke. I figured it was something grinding it would have seized up or something by now. Help
