I have gotten several e-mails about, how did they get 10 more horsepower out of the 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T limited edition over the stock 2006 Dodge Charger R/T. Well here is the simple answer...
Chrysler Group engineers developed uniquely tuned intake and exhaust systems to unleash some of the HEMI engine's untapped power for the Dodge Charger Daytona R/T. By using a less restrictive intake system and moving to a straight-through muffler from a three-pass muffler, the newly tuned 5.7-liter HEMI gets a 10-horsepower boost and a throaty, high-performance tone to match.
It was my understanding that it will have a Borla exhaust system kind of like the Daytona Ram. With this system it is a little less restricted therefore more HP.
redrider was correct they do change to a straight through center muffler from the three pass, but it is not made by Borla nor will it be

hmmm...thats interesting that a small change like that freed up so much power. i also find it odd that borla isnt involved seeing as how so many of the "aftermarket" exhaust systems (ram, stratus, PT, SRT4) are all borla built.
