Default y did they stop making stealths

why did they ever stop making the stealth? They were one of the best cars the ever made. Also how does it compare with such cars as a camaro or a mustang? if there were to be a race which one would win?

IMO, the quit making them because they were getting expensive (for the time) and they were not selling well. Stock for stock on the street, a TT Stealth can hold it's own with most cars.

the same reason that dodge stops making all of its cool cars...because someone at the top is thinking straight...i think that some of the other brands are just now catching up in styling to the stealth...

I agree, although I am quite biased, I think Stealths are some of the best looking cars ever made.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the first year ('91) Stealth R/T's were all TT, where the '92 and up R/T's could be had with either the N/A 222 hp V6 or the 300 hp TT. If it is a TT simply look inside for a boost gauge or pop the hood and look at the engine, it should be in good sized letters right on it saying that it's TT.

I always wanted a '93 (last year for the hidden headlights) Stealth R/T TT. They are one of the best looking cars ever made and look far better than their 3000GT counterparts, but somehow the majority feel that the 3000GT looks better. Both cars were very pricey which is what ended their production, the last year or two of the 3000GT VR4 Spyder were in excess of $48,000-$60,000. The Stealth R/T TT's were also very heavy which held back their performance keeping them in the low 14's most of the time with occasional dips into the 13's. The later years, '94 and up, gained another 20 hp bringing them up to 320 hp and they gained another gear later making them a 6-spd. instead of a 5-spd. all of which helped them to be a more solid high 13's car. The 3000GT VR4 had an added advantage over the Stealth R/T TT later on when it was given Active Aero which electronically controls and adjusts the pitch of the front and rear spoilers based on the cars speed. This was enough to keep them competing with and often times beating the Mustang GT's (which were never really a threat to them even in Cobra form during the early 90's) and the Camaros, especially in the early to mid 90's.

That is just an absurd amount to put into making it look different, he could have made it fast as hell for that much. Or even better, he could have bought an already done musclecar that looks far better and has the balls to back it up.
