Hey, Well im new here and just had a question for anyone who might know about this or had a similar experience with it. Well, I currently have 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 and the stock 20" Chrome rims on th 275/60 Goodyears on it. I just bought the truck, and am wanting to get a ncie set of 22" rims and will need to get some new tires. Ive been suggested to get some 305/45 Tires, but Ive had a friend, whos in the tire/wheel business, who says that they would rub the inside of the tire well when turning. But... Ive also had some friends tell me that it wouldnt rub and that guy is not really sure. The only difference in the 2 wheels is that the 305/45's are an inch wider... As in the tread that touches the ground is an inch more. So the Tire sits deeper in the tire well then my current ones. Will that cause a rubbing problem you think? My friend said putting some 1" spacers on them would fix the problem, but i dont want my tires sticking out further.

I guess I should have waited a few minutes before starting my thread. I'm thinking along the same lines to upgrade my tires/wheels, but didn't consider fit while turning. I would think with your current tires, you could trun your front tires from stop to stop, and see how close it gets to the wheel well.
