Default charging problems 88 shelby z

have 1988 shelby z 2.2 turbo 2. replaced alternator and belt and will not hold charge still. possible computer problem? charge regulated by computer not external voltage regulator. NEED HELP!!!!!

Take that POS to the junkyard where it belongs you hoser. Burn it to the ground for the insurance money. Use a stick of TNT.[sm=joke.gif]

This is actually my old '88 Shelby Z and this is the one that was my step brother, so I have to mess with him about it.

I have one just like it!!!

first thing is first, check the wiring harness between the alt to the battery.. I had one die this way last year, the bloody wire
broke and that was the end of that.. if the terminal/wire that bolts to the Alternator is greenish.. wire is broken.

Make sure all of the ground straps are good and in working order. You will need a multi-meter to check them properly.....

The problem was already fixed a couple weeks ago and it just had a new exhaust put on it last friday. It was a wiring problem, not exactly sure as to which wire(s), but I believe that it was in the main harness to the alternator.
