Default thermostat replacement

Well I took the dodge in for the free balljoint replacement and the noticed that the thermostat gasket was leaking. For $150 they said they could fix it. I am going to do it myself, but was wondering how much stuff am I going to have to move to get to it.

You don't have to remove anything besides the t-stat housing. It's tight around the a/c unit to wiggle in and out. It's an hours worth of your time to do the whole thing. Make sure you get a new gasket along with the new t-stat if you have the 5.2/5.9L. The 4.7L has a reusable rubber gasket.

Send me an e-mail if you want specific instructions.

Thank you, I was beginning to think that I was the first person who was going to do this.

I replaced my t-stat when i bought my truck with a 160deg and all i did was move the ac bracket over after loosning it and the rest was just history. And the one 60 works just fine no faults or codes since.Later
