I went to the dealer to iron out my order and they bring out a piece of paper that says all 6 speeds are on hold ??? Has anyone heard anything about this ?? Is it a supplier problem ??? Is it Daimlers problem ??? Should i stop being a redneck and get an automatic ??? Have I said too much ???
Seriously, any info would be greatly appreciated ....
Thanks in advance

Yes I have heard something about this. I ordered a 2500 05 hemi with the 6 spd stick option, and I was informed by the dealer last friday that it should be delivered in the first two weeks of April. He has already supplied me with the vin number

My 6-speed Power Wagon was cancelled due to the manual transmissions. I ordered it back in January and I even had a VON. Here is the link. http://webpages.charter.net/tomeygun...strictions.pdf

apparently the dual mass flywheel that is used with the Getrag G-56 tranny that dodge went to is turning into a problem. guess the tranny cannot handle the Cummins. more of a good thing I got a NV5600

Obviously my moniker says Im a Chevy guy, but I think the Hemi's a bit more powerful than GM's 6.0L. I also feel that the Ram 2500 has a bit heartier suspension. I was looking forward to getting a Ram ... Guess Ill have to wait and see what happens ... Thanks for the info ...
Hey, I feel ya man, I was a bowtie man all the way before I got my Ram. I still have a soft spot for Chevy's but the truck line is just not doin so hot lately. I was upset when they ditched the S-10's, I wanted a ZR2 pretty bad.

Seriously though, Chevies used to have, in my opinion, the best engine in light trucks ...
Dodge always had good power, but their engines slurped down the fuel ...
As far as Ford ... well what can I say ... not my cup of tea ...
I don't know if this interests anyone but I found a guideline for when orders can be placed
for 2006 (dont know how accurate itll be for ordinary joes, but it is info nonetheless)
