Default The New Cadillac BLS: European Model Only?

Built on GM’s Epsilon platform, Cadillac’s European entry-level challenger represents an important first for the brand: diesel power. In addition to three turbocharged gasoline engines—two 2.0-liter fours and a 2.8-liter six-cylinder—the BLS will be available with a 1.9-liter direct-injection diesel engine. Every engine will be available with either a manual or an automatic transmission routing power to the front wheels. McPherson struts up front and a four-link rear suspension keep the 19-inch tires from rubbing the wheel wells during spirited driving. Inside, the driver and passengers are entertained by a Bose audio system, as well as a DVD navigation system and a Bluetooth-capable telephone with steering wheel-mounted buttons.

There isn't really power behind it so I'd guess low 30K is the price. Looks nice.

Still beats the crap out of the fugly piece of junk on the same platform (Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx). It would be a nice car for the states... however it would wreck the upscale image of Cadillac. Besides, who wants one of these when you can go buy an Escalade ESV for $68,000... what a joke!
