Default 5.7L Hemi Throttle Body News!!

I have been working hand in hand with the BEST in Throttle Bodies for our beloved Dodges, The Fastman. Even got us a wicked Special Deal that I'll be posting after this.

FOR ALL YOU 5.7L HEMI OWNERS WANTING A TB, PLEASE READ THIS!!

AND BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THIS GUY KNOWS HIS STUFF!!

www.thefastman.com

This is quoted from an email he sent me... can't get much better than a businessman who can tell the truth.

"Your question on the 5.7 Hemi TB:

I own a 5.7 engine. I have looked hard at this TB and have to say Dodge did a good job with this TB to start with in it’s design. The bore is huge already. The drive by wire I do not care for but that is the current future in computer controlled motors.

This will be an expensive TB to replace if one ever goes bad. The electronics that control it are designed not to be taken apart.

With this said can I improve this TB? I can radius the opening and slightly taper the bore to the blade area. I can remove the top of the shaft and knife edge the throttle blade. What will all this add up to in extra performance? Not much if any at all. I really feel I would be taking your money to say I can make much of an improvement on this TB. That is why I have not offered anything
."

So... this is a friendly warning from me and the best Throttle Body maker in the business... don't waste the money. I'm convinced if The Fastman doesn't make/carry it, there's no use for it.

Thanks Amanda. That's more than what alot of companies are willing to do who are making aftermarket intakes, exhaust, etc. for our vehicles.

Your welcome!! I don't want any of you to waste money... if he OWNS the engine... you KNOW he went to see if he could make the TB better!

I trust this man fully, and that's hard to do... I don't trust anyone about parts for my truck. LOL!

I think I have a bad throttle body on my 04 Hemi 1500. The dealer firs reported a bad ECU that they would not cover due to me installing a JET module, but the ECU replacement did not fix my Electronic Throttle Problems. They are now replacing the throttle body. I will update you all with the outcome... Anyone heard of a failed throttle body on these Hemi's???

Turn out the TB was not the problem and it was a broken wire going to the TB. The chip had been in for 3 weeks before problems started, so I did not see any corrilation. The JET chip did cause several error codes in my computer though, and since I really saw no power or mileage increases with it, I returned it. I plan to wait and get the Hypertech programmer when it is released.

GREAT to hear it wasn't the TB... I'm also glad you were able to return the JET Chip... I personally think they are garbage.

One frickin' wire, huh? That must be frustrating... LOL! So happy all is well now though.

Amanda,

Did your pro tell you his thoughts on the spacers being offered for the 5.7 TB? Any value to the add-on or just a pointless process?

Default 5.7 TB spacers?

You can wait for her 'pro' or just take it from me the TB spacer's only benefit will be psychological. Just put some crumpled almuninum foil in there that will 'swirl the airflow' or 'align the air molucules' or whatever other bs they can dream up just as good.
