hey all, what do you think about the The new Hemi Magnum (as though the Hemi name couldn't stand on its own!) produces 345 horsepower (5,600 rpm) and 375 lb-ft of torque (4,400 rpm) from 5.7 liters (345 cid*) .

I will be getting one eventualy, but I will wait a few years. They rushed this one into production. They have a new tranny to go with it, and the motor should be putting out 385hp in a few years!!

Blatant use of the RB based 426 legend status to sell a truck powerplant. Sorry but I think its a callous cheap shot. For a truck plant its fine, but people wil expect performance of the 426 and will be in for a letdown.
The engine is great. Altough can't wait for the true HEMI (6.1L HEMI V-8) to come out. That should be a real awesome motor.

I heard the 5.7L HEMI "MAGNUM" V-8 will get a boost of power when the refresh comes... 350 horsepower and 385 ft-lbs of torque. Thats 5 more horses and 10 more ft-lbs of torque. The reason is because GM will introduce their new pickup around the time of the refresh which will feature 3-valve per cylinder "VORTEC" motors, also the new Nissan Titan's 5.6L "ENDURANCE" V-8 has 305 horsepower and 379 ft-lbs of torque!

I agree, thats why I want to see another big block Hemi, but not in everything that comes out.
