Default m3 style mirrors???

i just purchased a set of m3 style mirrors for my 2000 durango, couldnt stand the 6x9 dumbo ears anymore... anyway, they did not come with instructions to wire them up, they are at the body shop getting painted to match the body color while a dent gets repaired, they called and said the wire colors dont match, and are not sure how to wire them up,,, did i mention i hate dealerships!!! its only 4 wires!!! it looks like they are just going to paint them, and i will install them myself, just curious if anyone else ran into this problem??? i dont have them in front of me but if i remember correct, the mirror wire colors are blue, green, red, and yellow........... to save me a little time... does anybody know which would connects to which??? any help would be much appreceated

i haven't done it but i have heard of people looking in the fuse panel to see which fuse controls the turn signal in the headlights, then running a wire from the fuse to the mirrors, but again i don't know how well it works or what wires to connect

Default RE: m3 style mirrors???

If they are the new style M3 mirror the reason for the 4 wires is that two are for the motor that lifts them up vertically so you need to manually connect thoes to the batter or wherever installing a 3 way switch along the way so you can have 1 setting to lift them up 1 setting to not have the motor active and one setting to drop them. the other two wires are for the motors to move the mirror. There are ways to add a fuse to your fuse box i did it on my friends M3 but i dont rember how.
