Couple of thoughts for you. I used to have the K&N FIPK kit, I was not impressed with it. COnstantly had problems due to what I believe is a design flaw. When it mounts on the TB, it is offset to the original mounting, and I think this causes some stresses in areas where they create other issues. Plus I had a TB spacer, this added to the problem, and eventually K&N voided my warrenty. Each time the hat would break I would call for a new one, they found out about the TB spacer and said this was the cause and voided the warrenty. I am now using an AFE CAI, I like it 10X better, better design, better allowance for engine flex, and I think it flows better as its design blocks more engine heat and seals better at the hood. You may not be able to run true duals. If your state requires emissions, contact your emissions authority to find out. Some states will not permit true duals unless they came from the factory on the vehicle. I have been hearing good things about Fastman and Edlebrock TB upgrades.
