A change for the time. They needed to do something to stay in the game. With what all other makers are doing ford had to try something. For the price though I would stick with something else. Chris

Of course I like the old one better, the new one looks 'cheap'. Almost toy like...

The new one shares the same platform as the Ford GT, just it is front mounted - rear drive... rumor has it will be produced after the Ford GT is discontinued after it's thrre year production run, so you could see the Cobra in 2008/2009!

If (big IF) they actually put a 605hp V10 under the hood it I could overlook the Hot Wheels look of it.  The only thing I reall dislike about is the headlights.  The car is a pretty good modern interpetation of a classic.  I like the spartan interior of it.  With a car like that, who needs cupholders? thestealth38021.8765277778

610 horsepower is under the hood of the Concept... if it does make production, the Viper should have a few years of the new HEMI head version of the 8.3L "VIPER" V-10 motor, which cranks out 600+ horsepower!

I love it! The production model will probably look a little different. Ford needed a car to be between to Mustang Cobra and the GT to compete with Viper and Corvette.

The new Cobra looks like it has downers or something!

Besides, I think I would take the Aurora powered Shelby Series 1 over it, any day!

Heck, for about that price you could get a Viper AND a SRT-4!
