FYI: The 3000GT went out of production after the '98 model year and the last gen. 3000GT VR4, as well as Stealth R/T TT, was rated at 320 hp. If your going to aim it at anything it should be the mustang, because the camaro and the firebird are also dead, for now. As far as the mustang goes if it's past boasts and ratings are any proof, loosing every year to the camaro when the numbers say that the mustang should win, even the SRT-4 need not fear the new mustang. 71ROADRUNNER37966.2487962963

Wow, sorry. I don't know a lot about foreign cars I didn't even know they cancelled the 3000GT. Also, I was just talking about the regular 3000GT and not the VR4. Also, I did know the 3000GT and the Stealth were pretty much the same car.vHiEpMeIr37968.9021180556

The 3000GT had 3 different engines, all of which are 3.0L V6's. The SOHC with 164 hp, the DOHC rated at 222 hp and the DOHC TT(twin turbo) at 300 hp, but the last couple production years were bumped up to 320 hp. When you said 276 hp I figured that you were refering to the VR4/R/T TT. The body panels, which are slightly different, are the only differences between the two. Another thing you may not know about the both of them is they were both AWD(all wheel drive) and AWS(all wheel steer). After the Stealths demise after the '96 model year the 3000GT VR4 got active aero(the chin spoiler and the rear spoiler adjusted their pitch according to vehicle speed for maximum traction).

A Stealth with a HEMI would kill a 3000GT (I like American cars if you couldn't already tell).
If dodge happens to bring back the stealth i hope they dont put a hemi in it. I think dodge might milk this hemi idea then its not going to mean anything except its just a motor...

Unfortunately that is already the case. With the Hemi being a regular production motor, it is just that. The SRT-4's motor and the SRT-10's motor are like the 426 Hemi's as far as meaning something. They are the limited production top dogs like the 426's from 30+ years ago.

I like the new Charger... just takes some getting used to I think...

And I think they should put a Hemi in EVERYTHING... LOL! Sales would skyrocket... Hehe!
You are indeed right about the stealth and 3000GT.  Same exact car mechically.  The ONLY differences between the various models is body and the name.  But all of the parts are/were manufacturered by mitsu.  Thats where we order all of our parts for them from.

There was a rumor on 3SI.org that mitsu was going to be bringing back the VR4 by 2006, but its just a rumor.  Some of the guys from that forum work for mitsu in Japan, and they said that the plans for it were an AWD V8 Twin Turbo, laying down around 400-450 HP STOCK :)  Now that would be one hell of a beast :)  but I doubt its gonna happen.

That is a hot ride. It has a look of the Mercedes sl 600 with a hint of chrysler in it. What i would give to take that for a spin.

The new Charger isn't very appealing. The Stealth was a great looking car, but except for the name and a slight styling difference, it was a Mitsubishi 3000GT. If they bring back the Stealth name I hope it looks about the same, but have the R/T Hemi powered and AWD. And the good Stealths, the R/T Twin Turbo AWD AWS, were way too unaffordable.

I completely agree. Throw a hemi in there and let the good times roll. why isnt all dodge hemi powered?

BTW have you seen the new Magnum (Hemi powered ) that is a family car everyone needs.

Oh yeah. I saw the concept car Magnum up close and personal. They changed it slightly, look wise, from concept to production. The concept looked a little better and a little meaner, but the concept was the Magnum SRT-8 and had the supercharged 430 horsepower Hemi. Now that's a mans station wagon.
