Default 2-4-6 piston brakes

Do 4 piston brakes and 6 piston brakes really make much differeance over 2 piston brakes on normal city and highway driving?

Default RE: 2-4-6 piston brakes

I too have always wondered how much difference there would be. I speculate that there would be less fade and more even wear over time, but as for common day to day driving, how much better is a 4 or 6 piston brake set-up then the typical 2 piston design? Anyone out there that has driven the same car with first the stock design, then upgraded to a brembo or similar package, and can give us first hand opinions?
