okay you want more HP, i could soo smack you right now its not even funny! why do you need more horse power out of a quad cab stock?! and if you want more HP, umm dude HEADLIGHTS DESIGN WONT MAKE A DIFFERENT the fact or aero-dynamics dont matter until around over 220mph, soo if your quad-cab goes that fast id liek to shake your hand. and if you want better aero-dynamics then i suggest lowering your truck first! get a bed cover and if you wanna get more down force get a spoiler for the cover!

i think he wants the headlights for looks, not because they are more aerodynamic. the extra HP is a secondary issue.

despite your attempt to make fun/correct him...aerodynamics makes a difference around, say 55 mph...also, a spoiler, unless it has the surface area of your bed, wont really help until about 100mph..its just all the ricers that think otherwise...or think it adds 20mph to the car.

okay even if aerodynamics do pick up around 55pmh why do it in a quad cab truck. okay i understand i read it wrong and its two serpate things. i could understand an ext cab, nore sure if they make the club cab anymore but one of those two would be better off then having a quad cab truck. As for new headlight covers yea.....i seen some slick ones at the mopar dealership! maybe its just my dealership but they were lookin sexy cause inside of being a yellow turn signel it was blue, and i liek blue better then yellow or white. As for getting more HP though dude since you got the 5.9 re-do the ignition system so you get better gas milage sicne you do have a heavy truck since you went with the quad also give you about 10 more hp depending on what you get, also a nice new air intake would be nice, if you dont wanan get too fancy id suggest the K&N set up, if you wanna get facny like i did, haha i leave that up to you, also to get some more horse pwoer would be without going forced injection id have to say ummm crap, fuel pump and stuff but i dont think that would really matter since its not forced injection, if you want better sound get a new exhust system, that would look hot!

i have a 99 dak. i just recently put clear turnsignals on that look stock. there are a bunch of different ones you can get, some are real clear- and you can even see the bulbs, others are ricer style, the ones i got are clear but have the texture or what ever it is on the back so you cant see the bulbs (it looks just like the actual headlight glass). i would have gotten these a long time ago but when i decided to get them every body had stopped making the all clear ones. the only ones i could find anywhere were clear but they all had a little orange reflector in them. i think it has somthing to do with a safety law change or something cuz i couldnt find any new ones without the orange reflector in the corner. luckily a friend of mine had a dakota with the older clears that had a clear reflector, and he sold his truck and gave the turn signals to me... soo i lucked out!!! but APC is a good company to get those from, i just dont think you can get them without the little orange reflector any more!!

Ok assclown, I am not a moron. I don't want the headlights for aerodynamics. I want the headlight b/c I don't light the stock lights. Plus a clear cover (no texture) will allow more light to pass through. I want more HP b/c it is a 5.9L and it only has like 230 or so. All I was asking for was advice. I did not want smart ass comments.

Now, I want to get clear headlights, exhaust, and I thought about one of those K&N air intakes. Does anyone have any intelligent thoughts on that?? All I want to do is get some advice about my truck. This is the first truck I have owned.

APC is a company you ant to look at. go to there website and you can find pictures of the different clear headlights they make. they do make them for your truck, they probably have one smalle orange reflector in the corner though. as for the k&n, it should add a little power, i got one but didnt really notice any big change. when it comes to exhaust, i havent got to that point, ive been planning on it for two years but keep putting it off because the stock exhaust on mine already sounds good- people even ask me if i have duals but i dont. but the ones i have heard the most positive feedback on are the flowmaster dual chamber ones.

ok...APC, i dont know how good they are, but you can find out. I got my clear signals on eBay...cheap, and effective..and high quality. Just make sure they give you the bulbs and sockets..and as principles of light are applied...the clearer doesnt neccesarily assume more light is emitted..the little nubs and textures focus light and the reflector behind also gathers and make the luminare(headlight) more efficient. I like the texture so you cant see the bulbs in the signals.

In terms of horsepower...you have a 5.2 where there are tons of upgrades to intakes, and exhaust, pulleys, cams, everything. id look at 360degreez for intakes, as they have dyno results to prove thier product. K&N makes some decent stuff..but, as for my truck, they made an intake, but showed 0 gains!!! $275 for nothin...im goin to eastcoasttruckin.com for my intake...exhaust...all depends on the sound you want. I have a flowmaster deltaflow 40 series in 409 stainless. the non-deltaflow are louder..like those cool commercials. but flowmaster makes cat back kits and some guys make good headers....it all depends on the budget and taste for sound...

You can get you some clear diamond cut headlights and corners from ebay for like $120 some bucks shipped. They are the same ones I have on my truck. Then, get you some sylvania corner bulbs, which appear blue when off, but light up amber when on, and youll be all set. Or just go to www.eastcoasttruckin.com and contact chris. He can get ya a set.
