Default Front End Noise 2003 Dodge Dakota

I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota extended cab with 55,000 miles on it. Under normal braking I hear a clunking noise, and then when I take off I hear it again and feel it in the steering wheel. This is the only time I experience the problem. I have no noise or anything when turning or hitting bumps. I have check the brake pads and they are fine and seem tight. I have also checked to make sure the sway bar is not loose, it seems fine, i can not move it by hand. I also checked to see if there was any play in the ball joints, when I try to move the front suspension back and forth by hand there is no movement. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Luther

Default RE: Front End Noise 2003 Dodge Dakota

check the bushings on the upper a-arm. I had someone go forward in my truck and kept tapping the brakes and found my caliper was jumping up to 4". We found out that the bushings were out by looking alittle further.
