moe in wichita ks
what is happening is the vent on the dist cap is letting moisture into the cap. the fix: take the cap off. fill the vent with j-b weld. use wd-40 or starting fulid to drive the moisture out. also check that the windshield washer hose has a hole in it. been there done that bought the tee shirt

bad wires, cracked coil and a bad seal in the distributor allowing moisture into it, do a tune up, spark plugs, cap, wires, and rotor, check the coil pack for a cracked casing
