Default New Guy -motorlarry

I am new to the Forum and have been reading (researching) about my problem with my car for about a week now. Have found alot of good info in the Forum that has helped greatly thus far.

I was having trouble starting my 1987 Dodge Aries 2.5 auto a/c. The code was 22 for the temp sensor so I replaced it ($9.99) and the car seems to be starting fine now. I still get the code and have tried to clear it by disconnecting battery, but am still getting 22. Am not sure if there is still a problem or I just can not clear the code.I checked plug and wiring until they disappear into the harness and had connectivity.

Is there another way to check to see if the temp sensor is working? Or do I just need to stop by Autozone and have them clear the code?

Many thanks for any additional input.
