Default Neutral safety Switch

Had an issue with the neutral safety switch on my 96 Ram 1500 w/360. Changed it as well as cleaning battery posts, etc. It worked fine for a month now its doing the same thing. Will not start until I move shift selector trough the gears a few times. Can the switches be bad? Should I buy another and try it?

Default RE: Neutral safety Switch

On attempts to start the pick up the solenoid would click so I finally ruled out the neutral safety switch. There was probably not a problem with the first one I replaced either. I cleaned all the cables and checked them at ground locations. Finally got a new battery because the one on there was 6 yrs old even though it was not exhibiting obvious issues. Still had problems however it would intermittently kick in and start but mostly just the solenoid click. Replaced the starter/solenoid and it fixed it. The pick up was 12 yrs old but only had 58000 miles on it so this surprised me.
