Default 2001 dodge ram 318

I have a 2001 dodge ram. I might get 12 miles a gallon, city. It's got a headache rack and a front bumber guard that I made. I don't think it's that heavy, it might weigh , I'm guessing, 200 pounds. I changed the plugs and I took it down to a muffler shop and had the catalyt converter removed and had them cut off the crossover and them put a separate pipe and muffler for the driver side. I don't know if it's my imagination or because the price of gas went up, but I don't seem to see any difference.. How much weight would a person have to remove, you think, to get an extra gallon or two of gas????
