Dont Buy gas on September 3rd!!!!
Boycotting the gas company will decrease the price dramatically. Ive checked into it and if over half the US didnt buy gas for 1 day, the gas companys would be close to bankrupcy!!! So Lets show them how to lower gas prices. So repost this to all your friends. We have to get the word out. Its NATIONAL DONT BUY GAS DAY!!! HAHAHAHA no i really didnt look into it i just copyed and pasted it from somewhere els but iT sounded good to me.

that's the dumbest thing that i've heard....and i've heard it several times. if i were an oil company...i'd jack up prices 10cents for the next day....then 20cents for the following day....because i know you're gonna buy it sometime. the only real way to not buy gas is to use less.
no oil company is going bankrupt from 1 day of no sales....or 10 days of no sales. and so what if an oil company does go bankrupt....that doesn't do squat for gas prices. look how many companies went bankrupt and continued to operate, selling products or offering services for the same price.
ah crap....after reading what i wrote i sound like a real dick....sorry. i'm just pissed like everyone else about the price of fuel....and tonight it's stormin like a sum-bitch and i had a damn river running into my basement....i know it's karma

The only way to help is to stop driving any more then needed, though they say as a whole the USA has used 4% less gas compared to the same time last year.

Now if you could get the whole USA to not drive at all {unless it was an emergency} from Friday at 9:00 PM until Monday at 6:00 AM and do so for 52 weekends in a row then you will hurt them in the picket book. The don't buy gas one day is useless as people will buy gas the day before or the day after and it will not hurt them at all.

Even if we all sold our trucks and started driving Dodge Calibers or Honda Civic Hybrids, it wouldn't make any difference in the price of fuel. But in our circle of influence, driving something that gets better mileage would reduce our individual cost. The oil would just go to other countries where demand continues to rise. Gasoline adjusted for inflation is barely higher today than it was in 1980. We had really cheap gas there for quite a while and we got spoiled.
