Default Changed Battery Now Car Wont Start

Ok first let me start by saying that I had a 2.7l engine that spun a bearing. Ihad a 2.7l to 3.2l swap done on the car. I changed the battery yesterday and the car fired right up. I drove it around the block and parked it back in the driveway. When I went to restart the car it would not start. I noticed that even when the car is in the parked position the panel says that it is in Reverse. If I put it in Neutral it stays in reverse. It will go to the drive position. I can't get the car to start if it is not in Park or Neutral. Does anyone have any idea what I may have done wrong. I only changed the battery. Please help?

I'm not sure whats going on so lets try to isolate...

!st, put in N, parking brake off. Push the car, does it roll?
2nd, discribe what happens when you turn the key...click, no click, rattchet sound, lights dim, etc
3rd, do you have any power for radio, lights etc?

are the cables dirty? Are they tight? Try a jump start (attach ground to frams, your ground cable may be dirty at the attach point). Let me know
