I just installed the HyperTech Max Energy on my 04 Ram 1500hemi...I notice some gain with it not a lot...and now talking to some people on here that I should have gone with theSuperchips...Has anyone else tried the HyperTech Max and then gone to the SuperChips and found that it was that much of a difference..Because if I have to send it back for that I want to make sure its worth it not just for a hp or 2...
i have it. small hp gain. maybe 25hp.what i liked was the better throttle response. it wraps up alot faster.
are you using the high octane setting?
i also think that the sct is a better product. just from what i have read. i havent tried it or anything.

25hp was just a guess. i donnt have a dyno or anything.

you're not realyl going to feel too much as far as hp goes with either programmer. superchips advertises 17.8 hp. out of 345 stock hp, you're not going to feel 17, which is probably more like 10-15 anyway.
the shift timing and shift firmness, however, you will feel. if you got your foot on the floor you're going to feel a nice kick when it goes into second.
i think it(max energy)is more of a mpg tuner. it jumped me about 2mpg.
if i was to do it again i would get the sct.

I got a superchips and it has more power and shifts ALOT better and has alot better throttle response. I was getting 12-13mpg now I'm getting 15-16mpg (trip meter) and thats on performance with 91 octane
