Default Figured out my speedo issue.

I've only had the truck on the road for a couple months, and the "way-off" speedo has been bugging me. I figured it out tonight. Heres a pic, http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...r/P1000815.jpg
Anybody else see the problem?

Yup. Here I thought the speedo was reading 100 mph and it was 100 kph.

I think you need to get it rebuilt. The internal springs are bad. Or replace it with a boneyard used one.

Default RE: Figured out my speedo issue.

i was fixing the ebrake on my frinds porsche the other day, and i sent him out because ineeded "caliper grease" (which he couldnt find of course). while he was out i took the little 944 Turbo S for a spin. Well flying down city roads at like 60/70 MPH (100kph, on 60 kph roadshere in Canada) i got pulled over. 40 over the limit is automatic liscecse loss and car impound. The cop sees me all dirtyin my overalls and gets ready to write me a ticket.

"know how fast you were going"?
"Sure" i said "i was only doing 60, isnt that the limit?"

so once the officer andi "realized" that the speedo was in miles on thiscar, and that i was only fixing it for a freind, i dindt get a ticket. close call.
