Default Misfire

Aftermy truck sits, could just be like 5 minutes, the next time i start it up it'll idle rough and when i try to drive it sounds and feels like its misfireing. If i put it in neutral and rev it up to about 4k it stops. It has new plugs and wires and the plugs are gapped to what it says under the hood i think its .40. Also has a new air filter and just did a seafoam treatment the other day.

While driving down the highway last night it felt like it was sputtering and then the rpms would sound like they would get higher but the gauge wouldn't move. Throttle body is clean, and it has a new IAC valve. I can't think what the issue would be. Any help would be great.

If it matters its an 01 3.9L Automatic Extended Cab 2 Wheel Drive

Check you Cap and Rotor.
Next Is check your coil. I had one that would die erratically.

Next if all if good there on, sometimes no CE but the computer will store the code ect...

Cam or Crank Sensor. If one of these count wrong or stop working suddenly they will not allow the computer to send a spark out.

i tried the cap and rotor the other day and at first it seemed to be a little better. but today it is just as bad as it was. I think it may even be getting worse as the days go by. So, what would be the likely cause now that the cap and rotor are ruled out?
