Default Speedo quit working...common problem?

The speedometer in my '93 quit working, but the odometer still works. Is this a common problem in these trucks? Does anyone know if it's an easy fix?

I would say the cable. but if your odometer is working then its got to be something inside the speedo body. If your in a big enough city you should have a shop that will work on speedos. If not then junkyard will be your best bet.

Most likely it's a busted spring in the speedo. Junkyard replacement is probably the cheaper option. Just my .02

Thanks for the help guys. I finally tore into the dash this weekend and fixed the speedometer. When the speedometer spun around, it stuckpointing straight down. Well, thetip of the speedo was hung on the plasticbevel and had just enough tension that it prevented the speedo from working.Took longer to remove the dash than it did to fix the problem!
