Default starter replacement

Out of work,tried to start car and click,click,click.click.Bad starter?Its a 2002 Intrepid.Can a regular guy replace it or..........

May be the starter, May also be a bad battery.. Starter isnt too hard to replace.. Havent done one my self yet, but i read about it in ma Haynes book :-)

Thanks for the tip,ended up being the battery,but the guy who worked on it wasn't very happy.Seems like it was his 1st time.......

Go to auto dealer or any major parts store , they will check it for free and let you know whats wrong . then see how much they want for a rebuilt one , you can do it if you have any mechanical skill , remimber to disconect the battery first so you dont short out the system.
