Default Will these fit?

I know its been discussed many times but i just want to double check. I want to get the Kumho AT KL78's in 265-75-16 and i want to know if these will fit with stock suspension. My stock size is 245-70-16. Thanks

Im runnin 265/75/16 with a 3inch body lift and leveling kit. Had to trim mudflaps a little. I guess it depends on the tread too though...

I have a 2006 Dakota ST, that came with the 16x7 steel painted wheels. I have 265/75 tires on the truck, and it doesnt rub at all. My stock tires were also 245/70.

I dont understand why rebelone8805s tires rub, but maybe it does depend on the tread. Full turn no rub. I have a stock suspension. But he has nearly 5 more inches of clearance then I do, if he has the leveling kit and the body lift kit.

I used to have the leveling kit on my truck, but the tires dont rub with the stock suspension. Who knows?

I'll try to post up a pic if I can.

Thanks alot MonkeyWrench, thats what i was hoping to hear. I thought they would fit but wanted to make sure. Also wasent it you with the Leveling kit that messed up your steering? If so whats going on with that and do you still think it was due to the lift. I want to get the RC lift but if it causes issues i wont espically since i am out of warranty. Thanks

Yes Mikey it was me who psoted about the power steering.

It's hard to tell honestly. It seems Dodge power steering racks have a notorious reliability record reguardless of the leveling kit.

There have been tons of reports of replaced steering racks under warantee. I have found that thousands of steering racks have been replaced before 36k miles on many dodge vehicles through some long hard research.

So was it the kit? I am not sure. I just took the kit out, because if I did not, i would of had to pay for the repair.

No one else has had a problem yet, so maybe i just got a bad rack?

My friend is lifting his dakota right now with a 2.5" leveling kit from Auto Spring, in Idaho. They have a store on ebay, and 100% feed back on being some of the best leveling kits on the market. Good price, free shipping. He is then going to put two cast iron lift blocks in the rear for 2" of lift in the back.

This is similar to the setup i had, but the Trailmaster kit I had was only 1.5".

I personally think the leveling kits that compress the spring like the TM kit are worse then the On top of the strut assembly kit.

However, for some reason, the strut extending leveling kit doesnt work well on our 4x4 models. (but no problem on fords, chevys, etc)

So, because you have a 4x2, I would recommened going on ebay, looking into AUTO SPRING 2.5" or 2" leveling kit for the 05-up dakota, and going with one of those.

I have been considering the kit too. 2.5" and then the 265/75 tires is a 3" lift, not to shabby.

I have been searching and talking to ppl about leveling kits and power steering racks and no one has had a failure, or a related failure due to a leveling kit.

The auto spring 2.5" kit is 79.95 and ships for free, check out there feedback, its 100% Everyone seems to say the kit is heavy duty, works great too.

Ill post up some pics of my friends finished truck when he installs this kit, and his blocks.

Stay away from the TM kit though, its only 1.5" (doesnt even level you out) and is the only option for 4x4 guys, but us 4x2 guys can go higher.

Good Luck!

I am running 265 75 16's bfg mud terrains, I have the leveling kit.
I get a little bit of rub, had to trim the mud flaps a bit but over all I love them!
I wouldn't worry to much. Good luck

Thanks alot for your input guys. Im trying to get alittle longer out of my tires, partially due to me not having any money. Ill take a look at the ebay store and see what they have. Monkeywrench if you can post pics of the lift and let me know how the install went it would be great. Thanks
