Default 3.0 engine and tranny.

i have a 1992 dodge shadow es, it has the 3.0 liter engine and an automatic trans. it has under 70,000 original miles on it. it runs great but i am pulling it to do a rear wheel drive v8 conversion. my question is how much do you guys think i can sell the 3.0 and tranny for?

I would ask at least $500 BUT dont pull it out yet when someone looks at it they are going to want to hear it run.

The 3.0 is the Mitsubishi engine... they were notorious for giving up head gaskets at 100K. 500 bucks may be optimistic, but it's probably an OK place to start, but don't be surprised if you don't have many takers.

ok so i've been to several websites. like allpar and other sites like it. and been talking to other owners with the 3.0 and aside frome some small leaks water pump and such. and needing valve seals, they have been really good engines.
