EGR Solenoid and EGR System fault

I have these 2 faults, my engine light only goes on when driving at highway speeds and goes after driving about 10 minutes. When I turn off the car and turn it back on, the light stays off??? In town driving is ok, it'll never go on????

How do you know you have these two faults ??? Did you have the codes pulled ???
What codes came back ???

I have a code reader and it picked up the 2 faults!!!
